Pros: great raid chipset, fast and stable!
Cons: difficult to manipulate and add large components with full raid and multiple CD roms
The Bottom Line: Looking for a cheap, fast motherboard? Then this is for you. Onboard raid, 3 gigs of ram, 5 pci expansion, up to Athlon XP 2800 fills all your upgrade needs.

| jmbronk's Full Review: Gigabyte Socket A GA-7DXR+ Motherboard |
All in all this is an awesome motherboard. Onboard raid with Socket A celeron support for up to an Ahtlon XP 2800 makes for a powerful machine. Upgradeable to 3 gigs of DDR ram means you will never be too slow! Add to that 5pci expansion slots and 1 AGP slot and you will be able to build the system of your dreams. 4 separate IDE interfaces also allows for easy expansion with little master/slave interface, allowing all the hardware cdrom drives and hard drives to work independently, increasing speed. Having used many various motherboards in the past, this is the first one I have been completely satisfied with. Having had no problems or technical issues, I would say that its definitely worth the money and makes a good completion to any system. If I had to recommended a motherboard to a friend, the GA-7dxr would be it!
