I did not like shopping here and I probably never will again. I ordered an item with assurances and expectations that it would be shipped in 5-7 days. By day 6, I received word that they were still looking for my product and that it would be shipped in another 6 days, if they could locate it. I tried to call the customer service number but was put on hold for 20 minutes, then hung up on. I tried e-mail explaining my concerns, but received only a terse e-mail to try again. I was very disappointed and cancelled my order.
My order came within 3 days of placing the order and the package and merchandise were in excellent condition. I purchased 3 Oxford shirts (Hasting and Smith, which I think is their brand) that were superior quality. I paid $8.99 each on sale, suggested retail $19.99. I've paid much more for Oxfords that were not nearly this quality.
The customer service was excellent. Originally, I had sent an email asking whether the shirts were 100% cotton, which they were, thanks to a reply by a customer service agent named Andy. I was very impressed at the tone and quality of his email. He was friendly, yet highly professional. I have not written that in a long time with online customer service.
I would feel extremely comfortable ordering again and know that I will, especially with the holiday season approaching.
I have to say I am extremely disapointed. I had been searching on the internet for a trampoline and found one at a great price here at Boscov's and when I saw it stated was No Shipping Costs. As I continued through it kept saying No Shipping Costs. UNTIL I got to the final payment screen which then added shipping and a note that said shipping free for orders over $50. Why offer free shipping and then hit it to the customer on the last screen without advance warning. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!!! I however did not order the product. When I tried to email customer service it would not connect to give me the email address or contact information. Very disatisfied.

ONE WAY MONEY BUYER BEWARE
I received a Christmas present that actually had a gift receipt in the box. I took it back to Boscovs 12/28/07 and wanted a refund, but was told that they no longer give a refund and it was their policy to ONLY give a store credit. I complained to the service department and then finally to the store manager and was told that the return policy was to give ONLY a store credit and NOT a real refund. I found this totally unacceptable and frankly a new type of SCAM. Therefore, if you purchase a gift for anyone and even have Boscovs put a gift receipt in the box; please understand that the person that you give the gift to will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND ONLY AN EXCHANGE FOR ANOTHER STORE ITEM EVEN IF THEY DONT WANT ANYTHING THAT THE STORE SELLS. We need laws to protect the consumer from such new store policies that basically have a NO REFUND POLICY AND ONLY AN EXCHANGE POLICY.

My experience has been a horrible one. I placed an order and received the wrong item. I was told a number of times that the correct order would be shipped to me. It has been one month since the initial order. The supervisor said they would be talking to the store and gave me her word that she would be back with me the next day. I never did hear from anyone and she wouldn't return my phone calls. Apparently they no longer carry my item, but didn't even tell me. They just credited my account. To make things worse, the item is still on the web-site!
I ordered a purse from Boscov's a few days ago. It just arrived in a timely manner. It was exactly what I ordered. The process was fast and they kept me advised of the UPS tracking information.
I am very pleased with the clothing, cosmetics and bedding items I purchased in the past. They seem to go above and beyond for their customers. I always received all of the items I ordered and within a timely manner. I am always impressed with the careful, professional packing as well. I remain a loyal customer.

Do NOT order from Boscov's. With my order placed early December, they sent me the wrong item, declared they could not express mail the correct item, so there will be no gift in time for Christmas. The return label even takes 2-3 business days to receive.

I received about 15 messages that the order had been filled/shipped. The tracking number showed n/a. The great return policy makes you pay the freight - to be re-imbursed later??

Inventory not up to date. I ordered two items, the first was cancelled the next day and the second item was cancelled the day after that. It would be frustrating at any time, but during the Christmas Season it is doubly so.
Boscov's doesn't seem to have a realtime inventory set up. Ordered dvd player online and 2 days later I received a cancelation notice stating they no longer had it in stock. Unless they offer something for my time, probably will not be shopping here again.

I placed an online order with Boscov's for a hard-to-find item. I was skeptical about whether it was really available, but my order was confirmed so I was confident it would be received.
I waited and waited for a shipment confirmation, and never received one. In fact, I didn't receive any correspondence from Boscov's at all.
I again check my order online to see if its status had changed. And it certainly had - it had been cancelled because the item was not available.
DON'T SHOP HERE! I do most of my shopping online, and this is the worst experience I have ever had. They are interested in accumulating orders, but not in filling them, and they do not communicate to let you know if there is a problem - you have to discover it by investigating yourself.

Great experience! I was looking for two pieces of Samsonite luggage to match pieces I already owned (X-ion Spinner Wheeled Luggage) which has been discontinued. I came very close to purchasing the set from Altman Luggage online who offered the pieces for $139 and $129 each ($268 total). Luckily, I stumbled upon Boscov's, who had the same two pieces, for $119.99 and $77.99 each ($197.98 total). I saved $70!!!!! Plus, I ordered the pieces on March 13th and they arrived by UPS on March 18th and the shipping was free. The only minor problem was that one of the pieces was missing the lock, but they are sending that to me and I expect to receive it right away. Customer service dept. was extremely helpful and friendly. I could not have been more pleased with my experience. I have to say that after reading the other bad reviews I was worried, but my experience has been great.

I concur with the review below (I too am Canadian and my $$$ seem to be accepted everywhere else in the World and at Disneyworld and I too was shipping to US address). You get all the way to the end of purchase and then 'declined'. Can I buy product with money order (nope, sorry?). We have heard complaint before. Wake up Boscovs... Customers that take time to suggest improvement are worth something.

After I could not find the item I wanted anywhere, I did a search at Shopping.com and found what I wanted at Boscov's. I was a little wary of ordering from somewhere that I'd never heard of, and my suspicians were realized when the wrong item was shipped to me.
When I called about the mistake, the customer service representative said that they had shipped the wrong item because they were out of the item I wanted. She said they were not supposed to do this -- that they were supposed to just cancel the order instead.
Either way, it's bad business to promise something you can't deliver. They need to keep their website more up-to-date so that they aren't listing things that they don't have.

After two attempts at doing business with this company, I have concluded that they do not have a viable or reliable ordering system. Because of these very frustrating experiences and I will not bother with them again nor can I recommend them to anyone. Lesson learned!
The kawasaki strobe guitar I ordered for my finicky four year old was a fabulous hit Christmas morning. I ordered it December 18, with no promise of it arriving in time for Santa to deliver. It arrived Dec 23rd, in fine shape, and was a better sounding toy with better musical options than the spiderman guitar I had ordered from amazon. It sounds like Carlos Santana riffs were plugged into the various keys. Great price, great timing in delivery.

Um Nightmare! I wasted about two hours on this "merchant". I am really wondering if they are some type of scam. I did'nt read the reviews before I bought...it seems they have fulfillment shipping from stores. That means you may or may not get what you ordered. Unless the person at the store updates the quanities as they are selling them...CRAZY. The 9.95 may seem ok for all your items, but when you only get one item out of many it's insane to think a customer would be happy with that. I also had a very rude customer service agent that thought I should be talked down to because I was unhappy....Robin- get a new job~ customer service is not working out for you!!!

A nightmare in the making that's what Boscov's is all about.
They shipped me a defective product, then shipped and charged me for a replacement. The replacement was extensively used and broken as well.
Promised an RMA on the first product with-in 72 hours. It is now 6 days and nothing. Huge boxes standing in my small apartment and there's nothing that I can do. A $50 product has cost me $118 and I have not gotten anything except for customer service statement "We are really backed up, you will get your e-mail soon."
I am so furious with the Boscov Department Store. I bought a bed-in-a-bag for $200. The colors were not as displayed on the the internet. It cost them $8.00 to mail the item to me..it cost me $56.00 (FIFTY SIX) dollars to mail it back because they did not provide a return mailing label so the customer could benefit from company mailing. Eddie Bauer, the Pottery Barn, Coldwater Creek...they all take care of their customers...DO NOT BUY FROM BOSCOV!!

This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had with a mail-order or online retail company. UPS lost my package. I first tried to contact the company using the email Customer Service option. All I got back was an automatic response that a customer service agent would contact me withing 48 hours. I left a voice mail message and also got no response. The hours that customer service agents are available are very limited so it was hard to get through. When I finally talked to someone, this person claimed they had emailed me a message telling me to call them. Why offer customer service via email if you have to phone them anyway. This was my first and last shopping experience with Boscov's.

I shop at my local Boscov's and have ordered several times from Boscov's online, when they were out of a particular item at the store. I received wonderful service without exception. Their selection is a good cross section, and the prices are competitive and there are often very good sales. I like the fact that it is an old fashioned, family-owned store. I love shopping in person and getting a treat at the candy counter--- brings me back to the good old days!

Purchased an item on sale as special order. Boscov's confirmed the sale and sent two emails stating the item was special ordered and would be mailed in 6 or so weeks. Next email shows order as 'canceled'. No explanation provided. Called and spoke to customer service. They said that order would be filled when item arrived if I still wanted it!! They even sent me a third email confirming this. I called to confirm that I did still want the item. Called a second time and was then told that they would fill the order but I would need to pay much more than the advertised price. Offered me 10% off retail when I purchased the item at 50% of retail. Within a week, they are advertising the same item at nearly twice the price.

I placed an order for and had the following problems..
8 items were cancelled due to non stock
1 item marked as shipped in a package but was not in it (luckily the weight on the package proved this).
1 item (boxing gloves) came with 2 left handed ones.
1 item (lenox christmas gift) was received damaged.
1 item was cancelled and was later told to try again that it was now in stock.
Customer service sends form letter without any response to the question....
