I joined e-diets.com about 15 minutes ago. After viewing the menu options I called and asked to cancel my membership (5 minutes after joining). They won't "renew" my membership but would not refund me the money. I'm a certified nutritionist and was appalled at what they were suggesting I eat every day...I would have doubled my calorie intake while reducing my fruit and vegetable intake. Lots of "frozen" and processed foods were recommended. I don't eat foods like that, frozen pancakes for breakfast, with syrup? I make my own much healthier options. I'm disgusted with them. It wasn't a huge investment, but anyone with common sense doesn't need to pay them.

Ediets.com is a scam. When I was filling out the profile a cost was never mentioned until the last page when what I thought was a diet that was less than $10.00 to start ended up being 53.88. The whole website is confusing. When the last page came up and I saw the amount I x'd out of it because I didn't want their service. They charged my credit card anyway and refused to refund my money even though I don't have any intention of using their scam service. They also said I couldn't cancel for 3 months. I'm obligated to 3 months of a service that I didn't even complete the transaction on. Extreme scam. I reported them to the BBB.

Ediets was a helpful tool in beginning changes in my eating and exercise habits. Their services did help me make better decisions, and I lost weight.

The downside? 1 year after canceling my account, I continue to receive unsolicited email from this company!
I have 'opted out' in every possible way, including a written letter via the post office. Short of changing my email address, there is NO WAY to get these folks to remove me from their email list.

I have contacted the FCC and the BBB about it, which makes me sad, because I do believe that eDiets has an excellent program, one worthy of much better advertising tactics.

I would highly recommend eDiets to anyone who needs some help to get healthy! I would also highly recommend giving them a 'throw away' email address so you can control the spam!

I was really disappointed with ediets. I signed up @ $11.95/mo subscription; however, in order to receive what I believe should be included in this high-priced gimmick, one had to pay additionally for more information. Most of the headline type captions persuade one to read further, but then -bam- you're hit with additional fees should you want to read the remainder and 'subscribe' to additional
options. This is way too high-priced for simple online reading material! This is deceptive advertising, and I will not be a party to this! I canceled my subscription, but ediets continued to bill me. I received my cc statement with an 800 #, so I called and they said that I did not officially cancel, although I had canceled via their website. I argued with them, and they finally took the chgs off.
Sneaky and marketing-wise, they will try anything to capture your almighty dollar! Beware!!

I started eDiets express over a week ago and I have already lost 6 lbs. The food is actually very good and it its promise of being fresh is upheld with every delivery. I am on my second week now and I always anticipate every meal. I have been eating most of my meals at work and every time I start eating everyone starts saying "What smells so good?" I really recommend this program to the people who are extremely busy, don't have time to cook and weigh out your meals accordingly. I have enjoyed my experience with eDiets. I also get called once a week to discuss my goals. It's been a wonderful experience and I plan to continue working with eDiets for the remainder of this weight loss journey.

That was enough for me. Needless to say, I called eDiets to cancel my membership. The rep asks why and I tell her.

I think that eDiets, in its marketing efforts to accommodate every diet plan, has some screws loose in the coding of their website somewhere.

I decided to try South Beach Diet Online and I am happier there.

I signed up for one plan and they gave me a completely different one with added extras I didn't want. After they charged me they refused to cancel the order so I am now stuck with their plan that I don't want and didn't authorize them to charge my credit card for. The menus on the plan I got are all terrible and it's they same meals everyday, no variety. If you have any problems with their service or need to make any changes to your account, such as cancel, you can't do it online. They make you call to talk to an operator.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

Okay, I just got off the phone with eDiets to cancel my membership. I had been a member a few years ago and really enjoyed it. What they don't tell you when you sign up is that you are only getting the meal plan. The community support and fitness plan costs way more money. It is pretty much a complete scam. Since I decided to quit before 3 months, I am now being charged $25! Do not join unless you read the fine print! I'm going to challenge the charge to my credit card since I think the whole experience was extremely deceptive. I don't know what they are thinking over there, but it is not about their customers. SCAM!
