I contacted Ephotocraft based on the opinions I read on the Dealtime website in addition to their prices. I had a few questions concerning the camera (Nikon N75) and the lens (Tamron XR 28-300mm) which they(Eldar)answered by email. They were very prompted in their replies. I ordered the camera, lens and few accessories over the phone because they discounted me on a few items based on our email conversations. I place the order on Monday afternoon and it was delivered by UPS the next day. Granted, I live in the next state, but they had the order to UPS within 2 hours after I made the purchase. Everything was brand new merchandise and I will stop in their store the next time I'm in Burke Virginia.

I chose PhotoCraft specifically because of their high rating on Epinions. There prices were better than MSRP and I could avoid sales tax. So they were cheaper than a local store.

Nevertheless, for a purchase as expensive as this (Nikon D70) I wanted to be sure that I was dealing with a reputable Nikon dealer.

In one phone call, I got everything I wanted. To contrast with the New York based stores, not only did they reassure me that I had made good choices, they even talked me out of accessaries I didn't need. They even shipped it for free. I got the UPS tracking number that night.

Since then I have called with a few questions, and they are happy to help me. What more could you want?

Shopping at Photo Craft was a pleasant experience. After dealing with other photo stores by phone I didn't expect the no-haggle experience of Photo Craft. There were no "we're running a special", "we have a better lens", etc. My order was taken, totaled and a time of arrival was given. When I received my package(when promised) everything I ordered arrived safely and the "total price" was as promised. EPhotoCraft provided customer service beyond my wildest expectations. I recently bought a Nikon N75 body and a 50mm/1.8 D AF from EPC. Even though their price was slightly higher than some internet stores, the overall shipping and available starter kits with a 2yr extended warranty worked out better; plus they are in Virginia, and
so am I.
I wanted to get the MB-18 battery pack and needed a 52mm
UV filter for the 50mm lens; neither was available on the web site. I placed my order for the N75 body, 50mm lens and
the Nikon SLR value kit which includes a Nikon Bag and a
58mm lens for the standard 28-80 G lens. I e-mailed notes at time of purchase, that I was disappointed that they did not offer the MB-18 battery pack or the Nikon 52mm UV filter.
As I was shopping for the MB-18 and the 52mm UV filter, I got an e-mail from EPC, they substituted the 58mm for a 52mm (Sunpak), and special ordered the MB-18 for only $44.95; WOW !!! All my business at one place. Above and beyond the call of duty. A++++++

It was a very satisfying purchase. Elder the salesperson that I talked with was friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful...The product description on the website matched everything he told me...Did not hassle or try to sell any other items. I check their ratings and found they were near perfect. Then I ordered the Olympus E-1 camera for overnight next day air( received my tracking information within a very short time ) and received the camera at 10:30am the next day..I will buy from them again.. The ratings for the businesses are very critical as to weather you are going to get hassled, switched or put on hold for long periods of time.

Read tons of positive reviews and decided to try them out. Called the store to double check they had the camera in stock- was told they did. Ordered the new Optio s4i online at a price $20-$60 less than the majority of other online dealers (allowed me to order 2 day air delivery at only $20 for across the country to California). Received confirmation when I placed my order and again when the order was processed. It even included a direct tracking link to UPS!! My camera was in my hands in 2 days. I purchased a D50 camera body from this seller on 5/08/2006. However, immediately after I ordered, they wanted me to call to confirm my address for shipping. After the phone call, the alternate shipping address was added to the credit card on that same day with the credit card company, but they still gave me the run around saying they couldn't ship the D50. When I checked the website, the D50 was out of stock and they were playing the waiting game on me. They never had the D50 instock in the first place to ship it and they were just trying to prolong my order shipment. After a few more days with a few more emails, they finally said that they don't have the D50 instock and they were willing to sell me the D50 kit minus the len. To this date, I have yet to see this order materialized. All they do is talk.

They claimed they called my credit card company to confirm my shipping address and was told it was not listed. I called my CC company and they said it was updated.

Ordering from Europe, it is important to know that the shop has a good reputation and, boy, this shop has it in spades. In all of our conversations and emails Eldar has been most helpful and informative. A tower on strength. Trying to buy "unobtainable" lenses like the 18/200 and 200/400 proved no problem. All available in a couple of weeks at highly competitive prices. Advice on monopod heads, new back pack in view of the size of the 200/400? Not a problem. I just wish they were nearer me!

WOW this was the only place in the country that I could get the flash I wanted and they don't even stock it talk about great. I needed a flash for a wedding that I was shooting and the place that I was going to get it from keep giving me a run around. Finally with only a week before I had to leave for the wedding I needed to find another place to get my flash I wanted a Metz 54 mz4i which is AWSOME by the way. I tried B&H Adorama and all the other big photo places every one said that there was no way they could get it for me. I went to Bogen's web page went through there on line vendor's not a single on of them could even get it for me in time. I called Photo Craft and they were able to get it to my door in 2 day they don't even stock this flash but some how they did it when no one else would if I ever need anything for my photo stuff from now on I will just call them first.

I just wanted to add my kudos to the other reviews. I bought a Nikon D2Xs. Because it is a new camera, some of the accessories can be hard to get, but Eldar has thus far come up with everything he promised as soon as he could get his hands on it from Nikon. This was my first experience with them and it was great. If I have a complaint its a minor one; their depth of inventory doesn't seem to be as great as B&H's but if they stock it, I would give them the business without a doubt. Good and caring merchants should be rewarded.

Simply wonderful. In a world where the internet sales folks at camera shops routinely push extra cost "kits", the person at ePhotocraft offered to remove the lens from a Nikon D50 lens kit so that I could buy the body only at the advertised price. Amazing! They also matched a price for an SD card from another retailer. It was also nice being able to speak to a person who knew cameras and could make recommendations. This was the best service and purchase I've ever had--and I've had many. Camera came next day as promised. You can't go wrong with this company.

I've had my doubts about shopping with some of these online camera shops because of all the horror stories that I've read about, but these guys are the real deal. I ordered a new Nikon 8800 yesterday and got an immediate confirmation email and then a follow up letter from them regarding some questions on mailing options. Once that was settled, my cam was packaged and shipped this morning! No bull...no hard sell...no irritating sales reps and no questionable gimmicks. I was reluctant to buy from them at first as they seemed like they could be another one of those New York camera boiler room type stores. However they did advertise "no grey market, no refurbs". They also had the best price on the Olympus E-300 dual lens kit. Ephoto charges a moderate shippng fee but no tax for me. I could have got the exact same product from Costco locally with no shipping but tax. In the end ephoto was more than $100.00 cheaper than Costco or any other place. They also had an additional 2 year Olympus FACTORY warranty for less than Olympus does on their own website! After ordering I was expecting "the call" to try to sell me something else. IT never came. I simply got an e-mail with a thank-you and a tracking link for UPS. Whole deal could not have been easier! Buy from ePhoto, you won't regret it.

I ordered a Nikon Coolpix 8700 with accessories, and it shipped the next day. I had e-mails with shipping and tracking info with UPS. Three items were backordered, and I had e-mails notifying me of their status, updating, and final notice on their shipment. SUPERB SERVICE!!!

I ordered the new Nikon 17-55mm DX lense and it was sent immediately. Tracked it the whole way and got it today. I received considerable help from this merchant prior to placing my order.  The order was shipped the same day it was ordered.  I had ordered a UV filter which turned out to be out of stock - they substituted a more expensive filter for the same price.  They carry a good selection of excellent products at competitive prices, and their service is second to none.  This is not my first purchase from them, and it certainly won't be my last.

These guys are the best. I ordered a D70 about one and a half months ago. A preorder on a camera that Nikon had not even released yet. Having decided to purchase a Nikon Coolpix 8700, I checked varies stores on the internet for prices. They range from $999 all the way down to $670. However, when I checked the reviews of shopping experience, I discovered a lot of gimmicks from the stores advertising low prices: bait and switch, high pressure sales techniques etc. The only one that does not have a single negative comment is e-PhotoCraft. Although the price is about $860,it is still about $200 less than regular price, when you figure sales tax and shipping.
I made the purchase on Sunday night. A confirmation was received instantly followed the next day by another e-mail,confirming the order was being processed, with UPS tracking number. I received the package in perfect condition 7 days later and would highly recommend ePhotoCraft for a no hassle internet shopping experience.

These are good guys and highly recommended. I found their prices a little higher than the lowest competitors, however I would say it was worth it. Making a large investment in a camera can be a worrying experience. I put a high premium on dealing with a company I consider trustworthy.

Repeat customer here. I have purchased a Nikon body, macro flash kit, and several lenses from these guys. They recently called me at home when a lens that I was looking showed up online as being on its way to them.... as in... BEFORE they got it by 3 or 4 days. They shipped it to me the same day they got it, emailed me the tracking info, and it was in MY hands in under a week from the call.

These guys are for real.  I purchased a Canon EOS 30D from them in 2006.  It had a slight issue with the mirror that I called them about and they had a new one shipped out to me next day.  I have since purchased lens and bags for my EOS30D and am about to by another lens this week from them.  They also are a real store.  When my son lived in Maryland I went to the store and bought my 50mm lens at the store.  Same great service as on line and over the phone.  As far as I can tell they are the best priced real on line camera shop.  I have also purchased my Canon Flash, 28 to 135 mm lens and 70 to 210 mm lens as well as filters, bags and other accessories.  Their phone support is always friendly and helpful.  They also do their best to price match the bad guys as well as have given me bundle pricing when I buy various items at once.  It is great to see that there are some honest businesses in the on line electonics world that also offer great pricing.

I have just received my new Nikon Coolpix 4300 digital camera. The camera arrived on time and included everything I ordered. The salesman was very helpful in selecting a different memory card to replace the one I was going to order. The card he recommended was a faster card and was priced less than the out of stock card. I will shop Photocraft for all my camera needs.

This is simply the finest photo shop on the east coast. I do not know why anyone would go anywhere else. Eldar and his team at the Burke store are top notch. They are courteous, professional, and patient. And, they know their equipment. Prices are more than reasonable, and with your purchase you get a lifetime partner willing to help you get the most our of your camera. Photo processing is excellent and runs rings around anything you'd get elsewhere. You walk into the store and you are always greeted by name, no matter how busy the staff is. You will never get that in a big box retailer.

PhotoCraft had the second-best price but was the only merchant with the product available for shipping at the time. The order was processed the next business day and the free shipping got the product to my home in exactly one week. I'm very pleased and will not hesitate to shop with PhotoCraft again. Placed an order with next day shipping as the item was available in stock and was expecting to get it shipped within/after 24HRs, surprisingly, there was not even a single eMail updating the status other than the first auto. email.

Sending an email, asking to update the status, I have got the following response, which doesn't seem a professional one.

" We received your order but because you are using an international credit card, we cannot process your order. If you have another card you would like to use please let us know, and we will do all we can to help you."

I have replied asking them for cancellation and I have got no response at all confirming the cancellation.

Purchased a Canon Digital Rebel, lens, memory card, grip, case and filter. It was all in stock, shipped out right away. They even talked me out of an extended warrantee!! I cant think of the last time a store tried to do that. Great people, great prices, great experience.

My experience with ePhotocraft was a breath of fresh air after dealing with the clowns in NY. After getting jerked around with all the low-ball prices for a D70 kit (which is an amazing camera in my estimation) I finally resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to pay close to retail for the item. I figured that under those circumstances I'd go with a company that had positive feedback across the board. ePhotoCraft was the first one I found with such a clean record. Still, to feel them out, I called to place the order. I found their staff to be friendly and polite, something I couldn't say about any of the jokers I talked to in NY. My camera arrived in a timely manner via UPS for a reasonable shipping charge. (Another thing I couldn't find in NY). Buying a camera, or rather buying from an internet store can be risky business. I had to write my first review for ephotocraft. This store is 1st class. They take your order, ship it out the same day and give you an order # and tracking #. Received mine in 2 days and I must add that they do not deal with grey market, like all the stores in brooklyn NY! you get full usa warranty. Absolutely a five star transaction. With two day shipping, my package was right on time. Buying something on the internet that costs nearly a thousand dollars without seeing it first would normally make me a little nervous, but I would have no problem doing it again with ePhotocraft.

I purchased a Nikon D90 + 18-105mm kit lens and a 35mm f1.8 prime from Photocraft, and had it shipped internationally to Australia.It was *much* cheaper then buying locally, and the 35mm wasn't even available in Australia at the time.
Despite the long wait (18 days due to shipping via USPS), and the inconvenient payment method (international bank wire), I'm quite pleased with the service.
I was glad that the package was labeled with 'Nikon Lens', as optical lens equipment is not charged any import duty at customs, whereas electronic equipment such as a camera is charged duty. Might be worth asking for this if shipping to Australia.
I was originally concerned with purchasing from the USA, due to the risk of damage with any long distance shipping to Australia. I was please when I opened the box to see that it was well packed, with ample protection for the camera and the lens.

Purchased a NIKON D90 (Replacing NIKON D70); Searched brick and mortar locally in addition to the web.  Previous good vendor, Norman's Cameras, didn't return a good price.  Best prices (aka Abe's of Maine) returned sketchy reviews.  For $25 more it was worth it to me to buy from ePhotoCraft (which is a brick and mortar PhotoCraft) and a NIKON authorized dealer with universally glowing ratings (epinions and price grabber). So far it has been a good experience.  Ordered the camera yesterday (a Sunday) and received an email today confirming my order and giving me a UPS ground tracking number.
Web site was easy to navigate; transaction was easy (used PayPal);  will update once the camera gets here.
Update: Camera arrived sooner than predicted and it is better than I had hoped for.  Overall a great (and comforting experience).  I will certainly look at them next time I need camera equipment

I was in the market for a Canon 10D and a couple of premium lenses. Several of my 'normal' contacts wanted obscene mark-ups, or were only selling grey market equipment. I eventually contacted ePhotocraft. They were very good about the entire transaction. One lens was out of stock, but they were able to order and get it in for me. They kept me aprised of the status of my order and delivered with no hidden costs.

There was a minor hiccup with the body (the battery door was broken), but they spotted this before it was shipped out. I appreciate that they took the time to check this. Shipment was delayed by a few days, but it was better than getting a broken unit. I just wish they had done it when I placed the order (versus waiting until it was due to ship).

I ordered from ePhotoCraft.com because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this site. Their price was competitive, they answered an e-mail product query within an hour or two, my shipment went out the same day it was ordered, and arrived when promised. I don't know how well they resolve disputes because I had no problems. I'd happily order from them again.

Eldar worked hard to sell me a Nikon lens for $1434.99 and discounted overnight shipping. Lens received but seemed to have problem. The same day I called him back and again the following day after more testing. So, I have asked for an exchange and he would not take the lens back 'as per store policy'. If you review the website their return policy states 'To return a product, please contact us by either email or telephone.' and their receipt states 'be aware of our store's policies,located on our website...'

I am disappointed and frustrated as Eldar tells me to send the lens to Nikon for warrantee problem.
