Pros: quality education. beautiful campus. friendly staff and students. Cons: It's in Arkansas...what can I say?
ASU holds special sentiment in my heart. It is one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen! Far from being an endless procession of tall buildings, the landscaping and natural surroundings are gorgeous and refreshing. A real getaway from city life!...

Pros: Interesting Professors, pretty campus Cons: none
I chose to go to Arkansas State University for several reasons. The main reason being that I got an academic scholarship to go there while I was in High School. I also wanted to go there, because my parents only lived an hour away.
After...

Pros: good faculty who care about and will spend time with students, honors program, renovation program Cons: administration and just the fact that ASU is a relatively young university (and not nearly a research university, which it seems to be striving to become)
Arkansas State University should be, by no means, anyone's first choice. I say this, however, with some reservation because I believe that there are aspects of university which are strong and improving.
The two main departments in which I...

Pros: Class size, instructors really care about students Cons: Like every other university, needs more parking in the day
After teaching 20+ years, I am completing a Master's in Science program at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I did not do my undergraduate work here but came here now because of proximity to my present home. I signed up for a new job...

Pros: Very well rounded Cons: Lack of community attendance
I attended ASU on a track scholarship in '87. I had many other universities that offered me more money, but I chose ASU for their reputation. At the time, they has the greatest track coach I could work under. I did not regret my decision to attend ASU...

Pros: Convenience, Smaller Campus Cons: Commuters tend not to be active in campus activities
I attended Arkansas State University as a transfer student from local Community College. I was a non-traditional student having graduated from high school over 10 years ago.
I was an Accounting Major, and I thought the Accounting...

Pros: Friendly People, Good Library Cons: Too many Liberal Professors
ASU is hardly Harvard, but I enjoyed my experience there. You can learn a few things if you wish. The professors were friendly and easy to talk to, even if at time frustratingly Liberal of the "bon peasant" variety. The library was fair. ...

Pros: Library, A-team dancers Cons: Cafeteria food, certain dorm locations
My personal experience with ASU has been decidedly positive. People are friendly, teachers are...interesting, campus activities are numerous.
I love the library, even though most of the time the book you want isn't there. I really love the college...

I attended ASU on an athletic scholarship in 1987. This was a very well rounded school! It offers many different types of programs and upper level degrees. This school has grown extremely since I was there as a student. The campus is very well laid...

Pros: Small but yet large enough Cons: the Budget seems to be getting smaller
Arkansas State University is the place to go for the child who has the tendency to become homesick. Arkansas State is large enough to give you the flaver of a large university setting, but yet small enough that before the year is over chances are that you...
