Pros: small classes, diverse population Cons: small, smelly town and lack of support for freshman
While I attended Austin College, I recall liking it. I loved the freedom of being away fro home. I loved the sense of independence. I met friends almost instantly in the dorm I lived in, Clyce. I still talk to some of my friends from there.

Pros: the people, campus, faculty, and education Cons: the lack of excitement in Sherman
I honestly have to say that I love Austin College and I could not be happier attending school there. Originally planning to attend another school, I now feel thankful that because of the scholarship I was granted, I was able to attend Austin College....

Pros: the professors are always willing to help, everyone is friendly, and the campus is nice Cons: sherman is not an exciting small town, and sometimes sherman has a funky smell :)
I came to Austin College last year as a freshman, and I have not once regretted my decision to come here. To begin with, the teacher-student relationship is unmatched. At what other schools do you find professors having students call them by first...

Pros: Incredible faculty/Great international focus and awareness/Innovative curriculum Cons: Proximity to a salad dressing/mayonnaise factory
An education at Austin College is, in all respects, priceless. Based on the classic principles of learning, students work under full professors who are amongst the most-highly respected and qualified scholars in their fields. Imagine being on a...

Pros: Personal, Academic, and Unique Atmosphere Cons: High Tuition

Was not your typical AC student...

Pros: Excellent academic standards. Strong peer support. Cons: Not enough local support. There should be AC billboards around Sherman and in Oklahoma.
Being from a small town in Oklahoma...Sherman was actually pretty exciting for me. However, after living in Irving and Plano, Texas since graduation....there's not much difference. Sherman is like a suburb without a big city.
I was a little older than most when I transferred to AC, and had already been on my own and supporting myself when I arrived my sophomore year. My first impression was the overwhelming support I experienced from my fellow students and the faculty to do well. I had to work two jobs while a student, which made if more challenging than most to graduate, but I did it! I am eternally grateful for the encouragement I received from the AC community to accomplish my goals and dream big.
