Pros: Beautiful scenery, well-lit at night, good security. Cons: Nothing really.
The campus of East Tennessee State University is very impressive. Sometimes when going to a particular school you tend to take for granted how the campus is arranged. I have a very hard time finding my way around big places and have no sense of...

Pros: Top-notch faculty, wide variety of classes Cons: Not a particularly large department
After the biology department at ETSU left a bad taste in my mouth, I changed majors to one of my other scholastic interests, chemistry. I had heard some good things about this department from friends, and I had really enjoyed organic chemistry, so I...

Pros: Clean, well-maintained. Cons: Rules are too strict are very intrusive. Annoying sorority meetings. No internet access yet.
Although we are lowly college students, I don't think that we should constantly have to answer to the administration. I understand that certain precautions have to be taken in order to ensure the safety of the residents, but Panhellenic takes it way too...

Pros: Beautiful campus, Friendly students and faculty Cons: Some of the teachers are a little strange, dorm policies
I spent two great years at ETSU, I would not have traded my time spent there for anything else. I was scared my freshman year, but the faculty made sure I did not get lost or confused. They made me feel at home and safe. I spent both years in the...

Pros: 1. Small university
2. Cheap Cons: 1. Seemingly inexperienced teachers
2. Many cancelled classes
I have been in school for several years now. I have a degree from another state school and I am currently working on a degree at ETSU. Honestly, ETSU is cheap compared to most other state schools in the east Tennessee. You get what you pay for. I ...

Pros: Nice campus, maintained well, nice staff. Cons: Tight parking, strict rules.
I was recently enrolled at ETSU this fall semester. So far, i am very pleased with my experience. I am staying on campus, and enrolled in the computer science major.
I am very impressed with my major's department. It is very well organized...

Pros: Caring faculty and staff who are willing to work with the students Cons: many of the classes have the same information
I have been a student at ETSU for many years. I was first an Art major and chose to change my major to Early Childhood Education my junior year (yeah, i know it was a little late by then, but oh well).
Having been in this department for the last...

Pros: Good faculty, biology offered is good Cons: Not enough "modern" biology
I entered this university as a out-of-state transfer student in the fall of 1999. I live around 50 miles away from the campus, so I am close enough to be familiar with the school. I transferred as a biology major, because my interest is primarily...

Pros: It's cheap & the small number of occupants allows for a true comunity atmosphere Cons: Everything else
Frank Clement Hall is a craphole, and that's being diplomatic. The rooms are cramped, lack any air conditioning or heat, and are about as homey as a Samalian prison cell. With community bathrooms and paper thin walls, you find that you have to put up...

Pros: There are a few options to choose from. Cons: You'd never know it by the way people act.
Extracurriculars are pretty dead here at ETSU. The school and community offer little support to any extracurricular activity, and outside of intermurals, hardly any of the clubs have much participation at all. We do have several choices, but none of...
