Pros: Highly ranked; beautiful campus and location; excellent education and social life Cons: None so far!
Knowing my daughter wanted to be a doctor we looked for schools that had excellent science programs. Emory does and it also has a medical school. In addition the Center for Disease Control is housed in Atlanta which is a wonderful place for an...

Pros: Great education, reputation of the school and faculty Cons: Pretty much everything else
I have read or skimmed over the reviews written by the others here, and I honestly can't believe them. Understand that I'm not attacking anyone, but many wrote silly reasons to dislike the school, silly reasons to like the school, and...well, it's great...

Pros: Money, money everywhere for the academically successful student Cons: None now, but will Coke funds last forever?
Living only a few minutes away from Emory, I've had more than a passing experience with the university and its community events. When it came time to apply for undergraduate admission there, I was overwhelmed by the merit-based scholarships available to...

Pros: great education, modern campus, excellent professors Cons: expensive, no football team
I graduated from Emory University last May (1999). When I first started applying to colleges, I only wanted Ivy League and Emory was my safe school. All it took was one visit and I was in love with the school. There were many things that I liked about...

Pros: it's a priceless school, I am planning never to leave! Cons: a bit expensive
When I was first looking at colleges, I remember how scared I was. What if I don't like the school, what if I don't like the faculty? Any how, I did what any highly selective prospect would do, I did my research. I found Emory to be in the top 20...

Pros: excellent sports program with top notch equipment and training Cons: the small college atmosphere is not for everyone. Athletes looking for more exposure should look into bigger schools.
I am not currently enrolled in Emory, but i have spent many of weekends going to their fine facilities to train for soccer. What i have found just totally blew me away. Since i spent my time at the soccer field most of the time, i didn't really get a...

Pros: Variety of opportunities Cons: Debt
After recently graduating from Emory, I have many misgivings about the school. You can walk on campus on any given Friday afternoon and notice that there are hardly any people around. Why? Because everyone leaves campus. There is no school spirit....

Pros: small size, entrepreneurs encouraged, helpful and friendly people, team based activities (not overly competitive) Cons: some recruiters don't like to visit because of the small class size!!
Before I came to Emory, I had never even seen a brochure of the University. I had done all my research online and my interactions with the staff had only been through email.
After months of phone and email conversation, I finally decided to...

Pros: food, staff, people, weather, academic reputation, quality of life, atmosphere, location Cons: it takes 20 minutes for them to make a whopper at burger king
Deciding which college to go to is one of the most important and difficult decisions a person will make in their life. When I got accepted to Emory, I had that general fear that New Yorkers have of living in the south. Its a completely different...

Pros: decent academic program, decent location, decent campus Cons: lacks identity, nothing special here
I live about 15 miles from Emory University and have visited frequently.
1. Faculty = The university has been successful at recruiting top-notch professors with Coca-cola money as well as low cost of living in Atlanta. However, I would say...

Pros: Quality faculty, plenty of opportunities and resources, over-all wonderful education experience, gorgeous campus Cons: Price (same as every elite private college), lack of school spirit
I graduated from Emory in Dec. '03 (I graduated a semester early by overloading my schedule and having AP credit). I have to say, I was very happy with my college choice. Emory is rather small, liberal arts college with a strong science program. It ...

Pros: Financial Aid, Size, Locale, Appearance Cons: Expensive
I had never heard of Emory University until my son, who is now a senior in the business school, began his search for the "perfect college".
In order to meet his criteria, the University had to be one of the top 25 in the nation. That...

Pros: Academics, campus, location Cons: not well known
The first time I went to visit Emory University, I was surprised at just how beautiful the school itself actually was. There are pink marble buildings and bushes in bloom everywhere I looked. It only added to my already high opinion of the school....

Pros: nice package freshman year Cons: Decrease $$ every year
The financial aid department at Emory is known to meet "your family financial need 100%". This is what we were told to say while tour guiding. Every person I have met who was on financial aid, has experienced Emory cutting their financial aid...
