Pros: Personal attention, great facilities, excellent professors, on the grow Cons: Not very prestigious to attend...yet
Nestled on the Allendale Delta and surrounded by farmland is Grand Valley State University's (GVSU) gorgeous campus. Rated one of the 100 Best Buys by Consumers Reports, I opted to go to GVSU not only for its reasonable tuition rates, but because it was...

Overview
Colleges are about the same aren't they? Yes, and No. This college is great, like a lot of other ones, but it stands out in a few different ways.

Pros: Fieldhouse, Classes, Professors, Campus Size, People, Parking. Cons: Cold winters and repetitive food choices.
When applying to schools I was so confused as to which one I should go to. I went around and visited all of them and decided that GVSU was the right place for me. I moved into the dorms (Kistler to be exact) and I had more fun then I could have ever ...

Pros: Location, location, location. West-Michigan commuter's dream. Cons: The town of Allendale offers little for college students.
Since the Fall of '94, I spent 4 years at GVSU as a full-time student (completing a BA in Photography), and another 2.5 years of part-time attendance to complete BA #2 (in English w/secondary Ed. emphasis).
GVSU is a great commuter school....

Pros: Small, personal experience offered, wide range of journalism classes, meet great friends Cons: Small, not well known
I am a Journalism student attending the inexpensive Grand Valley State University. I have been nothing but satisfied with the attention and knowlege I have received at the Allendale Institution. Though the journalism program is small at GVSU ( averaging...

Pros: Small Classes, Easy to get around, Cars allowd for Freshmen, Freshmen can live in apartments Cons: Everything is about 7 minutes outside of campus
As a freshmen at Grand Valley i have found it to be a great place to start at. I am about three hours away from home and loving it. The campus is big enough to walk from place to place, but small enough that you wont freeze too much traveling from dorm...

Pros: close to home, fine if you don't really want to be around people that aren't like you. Cons: location, most students are frm the vicinity
I went to this school primarily because it was close to were I was living at the time. I had some pretty good instructors and the resources were adequate. Compared to other colleges I've attended(and taught at) it lacked many things.

Pros: Good education at a low price, convenience of downtown campus Cons: not enough class sections offered each semester
I have been attending Grand Valley State University for the past two years (currently I am at junior standing), and overall I have been impressed. They continue to grow each year and through this growth, new technologies and more accessability to the...

Pros: Classes, Friendly People, Housing Cons: None
I am a freshmen here at Grand Valley, and I love it. The population of the student body is large 17,000, but it doesn't seem like it walking around campus. The campus is spread out over a large area, with plenty of room for growth. There is a small...

Pros: Smaller campus setting Cons: A little rural setting
I am a 1992 Graduate of Grand Valley. I have a B.S in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I found my college experience to be very positive. All of my classes were small in size, and I felt that the professors were there to help you learn and develop...
