Pros: Location of the Bucks County Campus, most of the faculty Cons: The Administration (or what they try to pass off as Administration)
Back in 2001, I had decided I wanted to pursue an MBA part-time so I started to look into the different programs available in the Philly/Central Jersey area. Ultimately I choose LaSalle University because it was the closest to my house. (When you work ...

Pros: convenient mba program Cons: staff has no administrative ability, registering means time-travel to 1982
First off, I should mention what kind of student I was at LaSalle University. I was not a full time undergraduate, or even an undergraduate for that matter. I was a graduate student working on my Master's Degree in Business Admin (MBA), and I was doing...

Pros: Teacher to study ratio, Location to Downtown, challenging academics Cons: Terrible neighborhood, no social life, snobby students, Terrible dorms
I came to La Salle this year as a freshman. I was an athlete who lived more that 9 hours away from the school. When I came to the campus for my visit I already got a negative feeling, but due to scholarship money to play a D1 sport I agreed to come....

Pros: Great opportunities, friendly students Cons: Administration troubles, limited social activities
Being in my senior year and heavily involved with issues on campus my opinions of La Salle are bittersweet.
The campus itself is well kept and beautiful during any season. Students are generally friendly and will say Hi to anyone who walks by....

Pros: Student to teacher ratio, Teacher Involvement, Active Greek System, Down to Earth Students Cons: The surrounding community, Cost, and Uncaring Administration
As a current Junior at LaSalle University I have learned that what you get from your college experience is in direct proportion as to how much you put into it. I have had a wonderful experience so far at LaSalle. Now I must also say that I have had a...

Pros: No academic requirements Cons: Plenty
After attending a school - Any school - for 4 years, one should be able to look back on their time spent as enjoyable and worthwhile.
This is not a statement I can honestly make after spending 4 years at La Salle university.

Pros: Wonderful professors, friendly administration Cons: Financial Aid Dept.
My daughter is attending LaSalle currently. She is loving every moment of it, as are her friends. Yes, the neighborhood isn't the greatest, but this is the big city. She finds the security to be superb, as do I. I also live in Philadelphia, so we are...

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to the PsyD program there
by jdunn36 ,Jul 26 '05
Pros: Good teachers (for the most part) Cons: Inconvenient schedule, narcissistic and power-hungry Director, very expensive
After having a fairly good experience in the Masters Program in Psychology at La Salle, I had the completely opposite experience in the Doctoral Program. The biggest cause for this was a classic "bait and switch" where students were encouraged to attend because they were "non-traditional" full-time employed adults. It was marketed to the working professional and classes were at night. While the work was still rigorous, it was accomodating to people who were trying to make ends meet. That was until the new Director of the program, Frank Gardner, began. The entire program was changed, the students were treated disrespectfully, and were discouraged from finishing. More than 50% of the existing class that I was in dropped out, halfway through, after accumulating nearly $70,000 in debt. It was a waste of money and a horrible experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I could go on in greater detail, but it would become a dissertation.
