Pros: College prices, decent amount of choices Cons: college crowds
I’m not a Blue Hen but I am practically one. Much of my high school went to the University of Delaware, as did my sister and my uncle. I spent numerous weekends there when I came home from Penn State, and found myself wandering the...

Pros: Social and academic aspects Cons: Intro level classes are sometimes very large
It is rare to find an experience in life that lasts four years, and is educational and enjoyable at the same time. My experience at the University of Delaware was just that. I am confident that just about any type of person would agree, too. ...

Pros: Great food, great education, great professors, great people, great facilities, great parties!!! Cons: Too much to do!
If you want to have a good time and get a great education, the University of Delaware is the place for you. I graduated from a small school in the midwest, but I wanted to return to the East Coast where I grew up. Although most of the students are...

Pros: Cheap drinks, the place to be Cons: At times too crowded
A local site to socialize situated between several campus buildings at the University of Delaware is a place by the name of the Ground Floor. The Ground Floor is a small bar/restaurant/club combination perfectly fit for the entertainment hungry...

Pros: Beautiful campus, excellent technological equipment, broad range of courses offered Cons: There are soooo many students here -- could be overwhelming for someone looking for a more "quiet" atmosphere
My experience at the University of Delaware has been phenomenal! I went to middle school and high school in Newark, DE, so the campus was already very familiar to me. The campus is absolutely beautiful and lucky for us the University is dedicated to...

Pros: Great academics, great choices, awesome campus. Cons: None that I can think of.
First, the picture shown does not do the campus justice. the University's home page must be visited, since most of the old buildings are what make the university so beautiful. The campus is very quaint, and most of the campus is within walking distance...

Pros: Nice dorms, Beautiful campus!!! Cons: Mildly Expensive
I'm a senior in high school and have been searching for the RIGHT college for a long time. It was until I learned of Delaware that I had decided where I wanted to go! The University of Delaware has an outstanding campus with recreational...

Pros: Meeting New People Cons: None
I am entering into my 4th year at the University of Delaware, all four as a commuter student. If it were not for the various activities and events provided by the different registered student organizations, I do not know how my experience at UD would...

Pros: Social activities, obtain skills that are needed after school Cons: Being Greek is not for everyone
When I started at the University of Delaware, I was a commuting student who worked full time. Needless to say, I did not partake in the 'normal' college student activities. I didn't live in the dorms nor did I eat in the dining halls. However, a...

Pros: network, meal plans Cons: overcrowding
Ok, as of now the housing is extremely overcrowded. On the other hand, it has a lot to offer. The dining halls are quite tolerable. Room sizes vary. They are good on SE campus... I was in Russell my freshman year, and will recommend it to...

Pros: good education Cons: none
I attended the University of Delaware from September 1986-January 1991. I didn't start
out with a major in Early Childhood Education, but from the minute I got into it, I knew
that the program would be worthwhile.
During my sophomore...

Pros: Beautiful campus, beautiful student body, lots of fun Cons: Administration is trying to cut down on drinking... stricter enforcement
If you want to go to a fun school with a beautiful campus and solid academics, University of Delaware may be perfect for you. I am a senior and have had three and a half of the most fun years of my life at UD.
The social scene at Delaware...

Pros: low in-state tuition Cons: classes not challenging, administration not helpful to non-traditional students
Perhaps I should rephrase that. If you are a non-traditional student who wants a liberal arts or social sciences education, skip UD. I've heard that their returning adult programs for business majors is just fine.
UD is incredibly difficult...

Pros: if you are a conformist Cons: if you are an individual
My experience at UD has been good so far, however I find that there are too many sororities and fraternities. I feel that one should not have to pay for their friends. Also, I find that sororities are supposed to pretend to love everyone, however, if...

Pros: very nice dorms Cons: not air conditioned
My first year at Delaware I lived in Smyth (a co-ed dorm). This dorm was wonderful. The rooms were large, the area was perfect. Close the library, the nurse, the student center (at the time) and the "beach". My sophmore year I lived in...
