Pros: Diversity in one of it's finer forms. Cons: Pre-requisite classes of 600 students.
UNM, is one of the several colleges I've attended, and so far, it is the best. How can I say this? I'm a college student, and therefore I know everything...
No, really. Maybe I don't know everything, and I certainly am a little more cynical...

Pros: Ducks, Deans, and more! Cons: Prolonged exposure to this campus may result in epinions like this
If you are ever kidnapped by the CIA and forcibly dragged, kicking and screaming, to the University of New Mexico campus (this is where they perform interrogation experiments), you might want to make note of several points of interest.
The...

Pros: Lower tuition than many competitive four year colleges Cons: Increasing tuition may drive out disadvantaged, prospective students
If you want some great and interesting facts and stats, visit the University of New Mexico's great homepage at http://www.unm.edu. What I want to tell you isn't found in some book or promotional speech praising the schools diverse population, eulogizing...

Pros: cheap; it's only 4-5 years Cons: It's still standing
My first experience with the University of New Mexico occurred in the summer of 1994. I was in the process of transferring from a Texas school (financial reasons), and I had to call the university for some reason or other. All I remember about the...

Pros: All aspects of Greek Life Cons: No surfing in New Mexico
Hi, my name is Chris. I'm a recent grad at UNM and now a grad brother of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. I guess I wasn't your typical stereotyped "frat boy." Never wore Abercrombie or treated women like dirt. But you know what? Most of...

Pros: internet connections, proximity Cons: overall quality of rooms and beds, required meal plan
Ah, the lovely UNM dorms. Well, 1000 freshmen can't all be wrong. I lived in the dorms for just over a semester at UNM. My current job requires me to visit every dorm on campus (I help maintain and administrate the T1 ethernet connections in the dorm...

Pros: First-class education, inexpensive, diverse student body, outstanding faculty Cons: Occasional large classes
One of the best decisions I ever made was to attend the University of New Mexico (UNM). UNM was a wise choice for many reasons. The student body is diverse (sex, religion, race, background, etc.). The school is large and small at the same time...

Pros: Small campus, great instructors, incredible diversity, numerous degree programs, GREAT library system. Cons: No parking, terrible dorms, SLOW and lazy when dealing with paperwork, hardly any classes online.
I am a student currently at the University of New Mexico, and will be graduating very soon. I've been here for 2 years and can say honestly that I would recommend it to anyone. The University of New Mexico is first of all in a beautiful place. This ...

Pros: Good programs, diverse population Cons: Large campus and class sizes
I attended UNM for my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, graduating in 1991. I really enjoyed my time there, although it seems like another lifetime ago.
My family lived in town, but I pledged a sorority and lived in the sorority house...

Pros: low tuition, excellent faculty, great job placement Cons: somewhat large classes
In my opinion, the ASM school of Management is one of the best departments at the University. It is accredited. I'm a senior, concentrating in Management Information Systems. All business students are required to take several core classes. These...

Pros: easy to get in Cons: easy to get in, very impersonal
The admissions process at UNM could be much simpler if they had you visit the school nurse and let her take your pulse (that's a local joke.) Getting admitted to UNM is no special feat; an average ACT score or a passing high school GPA will get you in....

Pros: good teachers, programs Cons: could have more courses
The German program was excellent at UNM, so good in fact I made it my second major. The most outstanding part of the program was their summer school at Taos, which required full immersion in the language. At the end of three weeks I nearly forgot how to...

Yes the campus is diverse which is cool but you will not want to go here if you are not used to seeing some extreme things. If you want to have any say in how things go or want to be anybody important here you have to join a frat, not to mention that...
