Villa Julie College is a wonderful private liberal arts institution located in secluded Stevenson, Maryland, just minutes from the Baltimore beltway. VJC is a small college with low student-teacher ratios, allowing for plenty of one-on-one assistance....

Cons: Price? Well, it is private school after all.

Villa Julie used to be almost exclusively female school. Not any more! This very small, private college has an extensive array of programs, all of which have statistically shown to prepare employable graduates. Classes are small and professors are highly qualified, tuition is reasonable for a private school. A lot of graduates continue to pursue advanced degrees elsewhere: preparation from Villa Julie makes it easy. This was my personal experience. Most important for me was the fact that I was able to earn my baccalaureate degree completely part time. For a working adult, such an option is a must and is usually available only in community colleges and state universities with 200+ people in each class! Villa Julie has a great campus in a prestigious, safe community, located five minutes from I-83 and the beltway. Highly recommended.
