Pros: Small and intimate Cons: freshman year will be hard
I am going to be a freshman this fall of 2000. I feel that my choice of attending VMI is the best choice of my life. I feel for some one like me who barely made it out of High school with a "B" average is going to succeed a lot more in life...

Pros: Close knit family with classmates, organization, better grades, required study time, no partying. Cons: Not being able to leave much, first year is like prison, always wear uniforms.
As for taking a walk on the wild side, you will not be doing this at the Virginia Military Institute. If you are wanting a college with "no rules", where you can be free and party, then you definitely come to the wrong place. However, if you are ...

Pros: Teaches teamwork, dedication, and perserverence Cons: A limited academic environment, extremely homogeneuous culture that often teaches contempt for those that think differently
