Pros: Comprehensive program Cons: Just as demanding as the real occupation
At Western Kentucky University, the department that handles the performing arts is call the Theater and Dance Department. They were once individualized, but combined sometime near 1991 in order to have a more comprehensive program.

Pros: great broadcasting dept, beautiful campus Cons: quiet on weekends
I graduated WKU in 1993 with a major in broadcasting. I feel my education has served me well. I now work in the #1 broadcast station in a top-30 market (Nashville) and I have Western to thank for my excellent education.
