You only go for two to five hours a week, what you miss is much more important than sleep. Even if you go there just to sleep. You will be able to hear anything that is important on the exam or homework. Also, if you attend class, some teachers will help explain homework problems. This will greatly improve your grade and your knowledge in that particular class. Another thing that you must do is study. College is not like high school where you can easily study for a test in an hour and make a good grade. If you try that technique in college, then you will become one of the first semester dropouts. The amount of studying should be at least two or three times the time you are in class. If you follow this strategy, you will do better than the ones that skip class, don't do homework, or study. If you have trouble with homework, go to the professor or teaching assistant. That's what they're there for. You will also have to learn to manage your time. You won't have anyone to tell you to do anything. You have to learn self-control. The final thing that you must do is have fun. Don't get me wrong. I think that studying is job one while in college, but these are supposed to be the best times of your life so have fun. If you follow these guidelines, you will succeed in college.  |
