Giving a New Outlook on LifeAug 11, 2000 Write an essay on this topic.I took a year off before my freshman year of college and I believe it will help me a great deal. I went to Summer school this summer and looked at all of the other rising freshmen noticing that they were just not ready for school. I believe that taking a year off gives you the time to think about what you want to do and to realize the importance of a college education. I worked as a waitress for a year and did not make that much money. I realized that I would need to go to school as I planed so I could make it in life. In summer school the other students were getting high, drunk, and having sex. I just looked at them and wondered why. They or someone else is paying for their education and they just take it as a big joke. Taking the time off gave me time to think about my future and how I want to live my life. It also gave me time to grow up.  |
