TAKE THEM ALL!!!!Jul 19 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I wish somebody gave me the advice to "Take them all." I recently graduated from high school, and I wish somebody had given me better advice about when to take the SAT II's. The first important fact is you need to do well on the writing and math IIc, because almost all highly selective colleges and universities require you to submit these two tests. So if there is anything you should concentrate on, it is those two tests. The second important fact is that there are many different SAT II tests, and colleges usually require at least three. The best advice someone could have given me is after I took freshman biology, take the biology SAT II. After I took sophomore chemistry, I should have taken the chemistry SAT II. As it was, I had good scores anyway, but I was stressed when I did not have to be. You may be concerned that you would do poorly on these tests. DON'T BE! It is very easy to hide SAT II scores from colleges, meaning you can select the tests you wants the colleges to see. In addition, if you do well on more than three tests, send colleges more than three scores. The more good scores you have the better student you appear to be. For those of you who find this advice and get into college because of it, I hope you build a shrine in my name, JEFF PYATT.  |
