My experience with the English department at the College of St. Elizabeth was one I cannot praise highly enough. The faculty is brimming with talent and the knowledge of how to unearth each student's interests and abilities. The professors know the students very well, which enables them to guide the students through the learning process, rather than tossing theory at the students and let them sink or swim. Students have many choices in their curriculum, not only in what classes they wish to take, but also for what specific issues they want to focus on in each class or genre. While at CSE, particularly in the English department, you are among friends, and not just professors. Studying as a student in the English department at CSE epitomizes what a positive academic experience is. You graduate a knowledgeable, well-rounded person, not a number or face in the crowd.
