Go for it, but only if you are sure...Feb 01 '00 Write an essay on this topic.I am now a high school senior and a few months ago I had the unpleasant task of deciding whether or not to apply to a college early decision. I weighed the pros and the cons and was scared that I would be accepted and change my mind about where I would want to go to school. If you find yourself constantly changing your mind about where you want to go, early decision might not be the best thing for you. If you are positive that there is one school you definately want to go to over all others, definately do early decision. Not only will it help your chances of getting in but could safe you alot of work on a million other applications. If you are pretty sure that you want to go to a school, and if it is somewhat of a reach school, i would go for it. It will help your chances of getting in and once again will safe you alot of time. I applied early decision and was unfortunately deferreed,,but i am glad i did it nonetheless. It also lets the school know how much you want to be there.  |
