Homeschooling Is An Excellent Way To Teach

I believe homeschooling is an excellent way to teach your children IF you are willing to make the committment. When you homeschool, your child gets individual attention, where in public school the child's attention is divided between 20-40 others students in the classroom.

If you homeschool, you can teach your child things the public school chooses not to touch, such as the Bible....God. You can teach your children what YOU want them to learn about God and other things such as morals and principles. Homeschooling also has other advantages such as shorter school days, many more hands on type things such as field trips, and life learning, such as banking and grocery shopping.

The down side to homeschooling to many parents is socialization. Contrary to what many parents believe, homeschooled children have play time and friends and neighbors to play with. There is no socialization problem.

I believe that we, as parents, have the right and God given responsibility to teach our children the things they need to know to life good and responsible lives, to live moral and upstanding lives. Public schools seldom teach all that children need to live good moral and Godly lives.

Also there is the problem with some special needs students not getting the education they deserve. Some students are neglected, and some are so under challenged that they never meet their full potential. Some gifted students are so bored also not being challenged. In closing, I believe homeschooling is a good thing for all concerned. BUT the parents MUST be willing to make a committment to do this.
