Studying neccessary to supplement gaps in courseJun 27 '00 Write an essay on this topic. Many high school students consider scores on the SATII tests to be completely dependent on the teachers who are administering courses. What many students neglect to regard (or acknowledge), however, is the simple fact that dozens of review books are available to every student. While it is an obligation of every teacher to explain as much information to each student as possible, it is also true that a course in school will not be as successful or as rewarding as it has the potential to be if a teacher concentrates only on the grades of students on one test. As a high school student myself, I have had teachers that have provided both positive and negative course experiences. My grades on the span of subject tests that I have taken are remarkably similar, regardless of the teacher. This is not due to any special ability that I have to retain information. It is due to the use of review books. Grades do not come easy to many students, but this can not be taken as an opportunity to blame poor marks on teachers. Every student has an equal opportunity to excel in a subject. It is true that some students may need to study more due to teaching that is not as focused on the SATII subject tests, but it is entirely possible for each student to plan accordingly. |
