My personal experience with Assumption's floor hockey intramurals has been unreal....it is not just fun but very competitive. I have played for the past 3 years and have only lost one game. It gives guys like me who don't want to commit to Assumption's real hockey team a chance to shine. My freshman year i thought it was going to be like one of those stupid gym type floor hockey things with the googles....NO way! This was big! This was amazing! They had two nice nets, goalie equipment, and boards. I was so impressed with the amount of effort that Mark the plourde manager put into it. He really goes all out for the Assumption Students. As soon as I got my stick and a jersey I started to shoot around and the way our gym is setup, everyone can watch us from above. I felt like this was serious stuff. So my friends had me start not knowing how good I was until I netted a few goals. Ever since then I have had so much fun. Everyone talks the talk against my team but they never walk the walk. I feel everyone and anyone should try and play these intramural sports. It is something else and lots of fun, plus you make lots of friend. I have made so many new friends the last three years mainly through intramural sports. Mark has done an excellent effort at bringing new faces to intramurals. Students like the idea of winning a tshirt, having their team name up on a banner and having their pictures taken. Mark makes intramurals serious so we take it serious. Mark and intramural sports at Assumption have had a positive impact on my life at school.
