  • High Quality At A Price

Pros: Excellent Sound Reproduction, Selection of Input Jack Styles
Cons: They Will Spoil You, Cost, Separate Battery Pack

Summary: I thought all headphones were the same and no headphone could deliver sound comparable to a home system. Bose has proved both these assumptions wrong with their QuiteComfort Headset. I tried the set on in a Bose showroom. Rather than unhook ... read more

    Pros: Great noise cancellation
Cons: Battery pack on the end of the cord, no independent volume control.

Summary: I've used the QC-1 for about 2 years now for everything from working on the computer at home, to sleeping on airplanes, to mowing the lawn, to listening to the play-by-play at the hockey rink. It's great at cancelling out the droning/repetitive sounds, ... read more

Summary: If you believe the advertisements Bose puts out about these headphones, you can slip them on and instantly enjoy blissful quiet. Well, don't believe the advertisements. The headphones are able to actively cancel *some* noise, but nothing that comes ... read more

  • Bose hits it on the nose!

    Jun 24 '02
Pros: Exceptionally light and comfortable. Unbelievably effective noise reduction.
Cons: Cost may seem an issue, but you actually get more than you pay for.

Summary: I fly a lot and I've owned and used a variety of noise canceling headphones; including the Sony MDR-NC20 and MDR-NC5. Of the two, the NC20 had better audio but lost the highs that the NC5 seemed to excel in. Both headphones irritated my ears. The cups ... read more
