Details: The 4330 is the latest entry level integrated amplifier from the Creek stable. The essence of the design is to eliminate any unnecessary frills that might affect sound quality and concentrate instead on producing a product that is unashamedly minimalistic. Ultimate sound quality in a small package was the imperative for this design. Now a complete range of 43 series products are available, including a CD Player, Tuner, Pre-amp and Power Amp, a truly amazing system can be constructed for very little money. Under the cover lies some of the most amazing circuitry yet used by Creek. With a continuous output of 40W/8ohm and a prodigious 19.5 Amp current reserve, a massive 370 Watts dynamic peak output into 1 ohm is possible. This ability to control very difficult speaker loads, combined with incredibly low harmonic distortion and background noise, makes it a class leader in all respects. A massive 120 VA (160VA for the SE) toroidal transformer and multiple capacitor reservoir totaling 20, 000 uF (26, 500 uF for the SE) provide amazing reductions in power supply impedance, vastly improving the dynamic performance. To achieve these impressive figures, custom high current MOS-FET output and drive circuitry has been used together with low levels of negative feedback. Power amp sensitivity is now high enough to allow the pre-amp to be run in passive mode. Active plug-ins are available though for line amplification and mm/mc Phono, if required. In common with all other Creek amplifiers, DC coupling from input to output and sophisticated electronic servo control of the output voltage allows the 4330 to operate without sound corrupting capacitors in the signal path. All Creek amps are equipped with Euro friendly binding posts, that accept all legal types of speaker wire terminations. All amplifiers are now built in alloy casework, which greatly improves sound quality compared to steel.
