Pros: Revolutionary, wonderful features, holds hundreds of hours of music! Cons: PRICE!!! Only one generation past the "project" stage
Summary: That's right folks, this little bad boy is a true car-stereo revolution waiting to happen, but it won't happen today. At $1200, even the (relatively) tiny 6 Gigabyte version is too far out of reach for 98% of the consumers. You don't have to have a PhD ... read more

Pros: Best interface for car MP3! Support continues for the device. Cons: Getting harder to find as it is discontinued.
Summary: If you have a decent MP3 collection this is the absolute perfect MP3 player for your car.
Key is the dropdown playlist interface, although in general having to navigate 10,000 songs will always get a little harry - this is the best interface ... read more

Pros: Closeout prices make unit worth the money. Tons of features! Coolest toy I have! Cons: No built in radio or amp. Unit EOL'd so support might suffer.

Now, I wish I'd never spent the money.

Pros: You name it, it's got it. Cons: No longer being produced :(
Summary: This is the best thing I've ever done for myself. Three thousand songs underneath that play button, and it's barely a quarter full! There is nothing that I don't like about this player. I don't regret not having a CD player in my car even for an ... read more

Pros: Great Sound, Huge music storage capacity , Cutting-edge features, Upgradeable Cons: Very Very Expensive, Short boot-up delay time
Summary: The Empeg is now owned by Rio. This player which was owned by Empeg was called the Mark II and is now known as Rio Car. It is one of the most, if not the most, high tech, and cutting-edge in-dash car stereos available today.
