  • Ericsson T28w -- bargain world (GSM) phone -- updated!

    Feb 08 '02
Pros: durable, tiny world phone, nice design, vibrating alert
Cons: SLOW interface, can't store email addresses in phone book, no WAP

Summary: The Ericsson T28w has been around for a while now, and you can get them very inexpensively both new and used (try eBay). If you need a compact, reliable world (GSM) phone and don't require the latest features, the T28w should do it for you. ... read more

  • Sophisticated Phone

    Jul 03 '03
Pros: Small and lite enough that you'll forget you have it most of the time.
Cons: Huge antenna (as opposed to the body) doesn't really deliver huge reception

Summary: In buying my first cell phone I was stuck between getting either the T28 World or the Motorola 7839. The T28 won in looks, games, and overall feel of the phone (the 7839 was just boring). My first day with my T28 was cool, I couldn't help but look at the ... read more

  • I'm not sure what the point is

    Jun 16 '03
Pros: Slim, durable, good sound quality, decent battery life for such a small unit
    Cons: No longer produced

Summary: The T28 World is no longer in production which I think is a shame. For people who didn't much care ... read more

  • 2 ERICSSON T28 WORLD - Factory defect?

    May 12 '03
Pros: HANDY AND YOU CAN USE IT ALMOST ANYWHERE
    Cons: NO ACCESS MESSAGES

Summary: I BOUGHT MY FIRST ERICSSON T28 WORLD AT A FIDO STORE. AFTER 3 MONTHS OF USE IT ALWAYS GOT THIS NO ACCESS MESSAGES ON THE SCREEN. I CAN NOT PLACE A CALL OR RECEIVE A CALL FROM MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS. I SEND IT BACK TO FIDO AND PAID A CERTAIN AMOUNT TO SEND ... read more

  • T28--Not a great phone.

    Mar 10 '03
    Pros: Very Small
Cons: Maneuvering interface is cumbersome and slow. Flip top is easily breakable.

Summary: While small and easy to carry, the Ericsson T28 is difficult to use, is very slow, and is just not a very good phone. The flip-top broke off through normal wear and tear after one year. The phone is small, so small that it is a bit irritating to ... read more

  • Takes a Washing, Keeps Talking

    Nov 24 '02
Pros: Flat, flips open. Voice activated calling. Text messages.
Cons: Can't put cool looking covers on it. Short talk time w/o bigger battery

Summary: The T-28 World has impressed me since I got it over a year ago. It's compact and has plenty of great features. It will be handy if I go to Europe again. It is easy enough to key my own tones in, so mine plays the theme from Batman, Star Trek, and Black ... read more

  • what a waste of money!

    Jul 22 '02
    Pros: not too many
Cons: shuts off by itself, flips open by itself, locks up during calls... there's more...

Summary: This little phone is the biggest headache I've ever had with an electronic device. I have been through 4 phones trying, and hoping, to get one as great as the first one I had (which got wet and is now useless). The phone shuts off and comes back on ... read more

  • T28 the best

    May 24 '02
Pros: Tiny Tiny Tiny. The smallest phone in the world!
    Cons: Tiny screen.

Summary: If you need a phone that will work around the world, there is no other phone that comes close to the t28. the new t68 is even better but it is not out yet. and the t68 is larger than the t28. I have used this phone in Hong Kong, Singapore and ... read more

  • It's Worth it!

    Apr 02 '02
Pros: long lasting battery, very clear, works in most areas, small and compact
Cons: not many ringers, vibration mode is not too strong, takes a while to load sim

Summary: I had the Ericson T28 World for about a year and I loved it. It's not fancy or stylish but it is really worth it. The best thing about the phone is that it is very small and the battery lasted very long. My battery lasted about 62 hours when charged ... read more

  • Small Phone, Big Features

    Mar 26 '02
Pros: Tiny, Light, Customizable ringtones, Ease of use
Cons: No web browser, smallish keypad.

Summary: This phone is still on of the smallest phones available anywhere, but don't be mistaken, this phone is big on features. I got this phone free from my VoiceStream dealer and have not been disappointed with the phone at all. The main factors in ... read more

  • What A Cell Phone Should Be

    Mar 24 '02
Pros: Incredibly small and thin, but usable.
Cons: Menus a little slow at times.

Summary: I've had my Ericsson T28 phone (on the VoiceStream network) for about a year now and couldn't be happier. I still marvel at the size and functionality, and I'm not alone. Whenever I take it out at meetings I'm besieged by people asking about and wanting ... read more

  • Awesome Phone

    Mar 20 '02
Pros: Size, easy of use, charges quickly.
Cons: Battery Life, antenna sticks up

Summary: I've been using cell phones for a few years, since the old analog brick days. Boy am I glad those days are gone! When it was time for me to get a cell phone, and plan, I looked all over. It took about a month of research before I settled on ... read more

  • Fun phone

    Jan 24 '02
    Pros: Pocket-sized
    Cons: Sluggish Interface

Summary: Ok. The phone doesn't really do anything particularly fun, but with the little flip-open mouthpiece, I feel like I'm on Star Trek. This is easily the smallest cell phone I've ever encountered. I can stick it in my hip pocket and just forget ... read more

  • MUST HAVE

    Jan 05 '02
    Pros: GREAT SERVICE, INCREDIBLE INTERFACE
    Cons: Relativly small LCD

Summary: I am an extensive worldtravler. Until recently, the only option for travelers that wanted cellular service in forign countries was to get a satelite phone. When the T28 came on the market , I grabbed it. The phone itself is very small and the lightest ... read more

  • one and a half thumbs up.
