Pros: afraid the others aren't better, so-so coverage in the SF bay area Cons: terrible horrible customer service, get treated like a thief, $1000 (!) deposit for roaming
let's start out with the nice things about the calling plan:
+ phone. i got a nokia 6250 with it free. a nice phone. pretty, small, and good.
- phone: the 8800 would have been $400 extra (!). that's crazy.
+ coverage. is pretty decent,...

Pros: Good coverage, the best "anytime" minute value, good phone prices Cons: Really none
I've tried Sprint PCS (the worst), Verizon (pretty good, but coverage not as good as AT&T in some important areas for me), and AT&T. AT&T is by far the best. And, unlike a few months ago, their rate plans offer the most "anytime" minutes per dollar. I...

Pros: Free long distance, great customer service Cons: 500 free minutes encourages me to be on the phone A LOT!
I spend a lot of time in the car commuting in traffic and it's great to have 500 anytime minutes that include long distance. I travel from San Jose to Sacramento and my home service area (408)is huge! I can go al the way to Dixon on my home system and...

Pros: Coverage and Online Billing Cons: Bad integration of account and online billing
There are a few reasons to go with CellularONE as your service provider for mobile phone service. The two most important ones to me are
1) great coverage, and
2) online billing is easy!
I have friends with all sorts of other...

Pros: Dependable Service in - state Cons: Rude, unhelpful employees, poor country-wide service
My fiancee had this plan from CellularOne and then decided to move to New York with me. The company told him that since CellularOne was a national company his plan would be good everywhere. When he moved to NY, he called the company to change his...

Pros: None. Cons: Terrible Reception, Terrible Customer Service, Overcharging Practices.
AT&T wireless sent me this bill which their customer care cannot decipher let alone a consumer! They overcharged me with services that I did not use and they could not explain why I was charged for the fees. I cancel my service due to a horrible ...

Pros: Coverage, rates, customer service Cons: none
First, I had Sprint and paid 200 dollars for a phone...after 6 mos. of EXTREMELY POOR COVERAGE...I switched to Cingular.
Cingular was decent, the plans and phones were cheap, I got a 30/month plan and a Nokia 8290 for 50 dollars. At first,...

Pros: good customer service, flexible plans Cons: reception quality can be very poor
As a student, and not a business man, I usually make local long distance calls around night time. Therefore, I needed an affordable plan that would give me free minutes in "off peak" time (from 7pm to 7am). I previously had GTE wireless...

Pros: Excellent coverage, Tiny Nokia 8260 Cons: Expensive
Around Menlo Park and Palo Alto, Sprint and Cingular have spotty coverage at best. Verizon and AT&T are the only cellular providers who can boast of good reception around that area. Somehow Verizon's deals did not strike me as being that good. AT&T had...

Pros: Coverage area Cons: Signal strength, dead zones, Customer Service,
Update 112502 - AT&T service is getting worse. Large drop out areas in the Bay Area, on Hwy 80 to Tahoe, at my house. I have resorted to 4 cents a minute land line for long distance from home the cell is so bad. Other carriers are worse from what I...

Pros: none Cons: bad coverage, bad service
CellularOne has bad coverage and bad service. I have been a CellularOne customer for about four years, on the maximum plan. About six months ago, the CellularOne coverage started to degrade-- lots of dropped calls, and lots of times that I could never...

Pros: Great Local Service Cons: Expensive Roaming Service
Cellular One is expensive if you travel in the U.S.
I must agree that their service quality is excellent, but they have no nation wide plan. So if you travel a lot, your bill can easily be $200-$400 per month.
I have the 1000 minute plan, and...
