Alltel Mobile Phone Service in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill

Pros: A good plan for a person who likes having a cell phone for emergency use.

Pros: Attractive promotions, very simple prepaid program around 20 cents a minute (7/2003)

Alltel is horrible just today my brother's phone wasn't working so we talked to them on the phone and they weren't helping like always so my mom asked to talk to the man's (Michael's) supervisor and he had the audacity to say "i'm not going to provide you with that information" YOU MUST BE JOKING ALLTEL IS HORRIBLE WITH SERVICE

EVERY OTHER TEAM I LEAVE ALLTEL I'M TICKED OFF

Cons: Very shoddy reception. Phone shuts off by itself. Won't stand behind their products.

Worst cell phone service I have ever used. Will never use their service again. Poor reception, most dropped calls, poor customer service throughout entire organization. Bad. Stay away from them.

Pros: Works well in Greensboro 99% of the time.
Cons: NO signal UNC campus

Have alltel in Greensboro, where it is OK but not perfect. When visiting at UNC Campus has NO SIGNAL AT ALL anywhere on campus I have been, nor on Franklin Street.

Pros: Courteous, Range, Flexibility.
Cons: Nothing at all

I love alltel. I've never had a problem with them. They've always been curteous and I've had a great signal. Most people don't realize ALL cellphone providers have dead zones and hot spots...in fact..i have less dead zones than my cousin who has cingular. I love alltel. In fact, I am going to be employeed there soon.
