Pros: National network Cons: Poor local service in my area (Virginia).
I was a happy Suncom user for about 5 years. Then Cingular bought AT&T/Suncom, and I knew things weren't good when they had to hire armed security guards in their retail outlets to help them through the transition. Finally, long ago having served my ...

Pros: absolutely none Cons: they don't listen and refuse to let you speak to a manager
I signed up for Cingular's service in March of 2005. In mid- June 2005, I called Cingular's customer service number because we had moved out of state and in the location I am in now, I cannot get a reliable signal and was told by many that Cingular ...

Pros: The phone works sometimes. They will remove stupid fees if you ask them to. Cons: Crap phone, crap network, the advertisements are crap: "Raising the Bar" is crap.
I moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and needed a cell phone. My sister was with AT&T and liked it so I joined. She got a discount and I got a Nokia phone with TDMA technology. It worked well in many areas except Hancock Park. I even renewed my contract after ...

Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything
My title says it all. AT&T to Cingular. Recently I attempted to right a wrong with the "new" supposedly improved Cingular. I was not doing it for myself, but for a friend that has had an extreamly bad experience with Cingular. First of all, did you ...

Pros: Customer service reps were nice.
Cons: Reps are trapped in a mismanaged service system, where upper management is overwhelmed and underpowered.
You'd think that if this sort of consumer outrage is present, Cingular would be BENDING OVER BACKWARDS to get their customer service right. Unfortunately, it's still the customers that are performing the 'action.' I just cancelled my switch to ...

Pros: Excellent at bouncing customers around on the phone with no resolution Cons: EVERYTHING
After about a month, one of the phones on our plan quit working. It shut off like the battery was dead and wouldn't turn back on. I called Customer Service who said the phone was under warranty and they would send me a new one. I should have known it ...

Pros: Cool features, nice trendy phones, text messaging, voice mail, call waiting, email. Cons: Coverage areas
Should be called Less Bars in more places! IT is HORRIBLE! I have had the prepaid service for over 2 years and while it is great in the majority of my home state of NC...once I cross the border no service, not even one bar, nothing, nada, not even ...

Pros: I haven't had any yet. Cons: Completely incompetent.
I had T-Mobile for 3 years and had never had to call customer service, so I may be spoiled. Around September, I noticed that I didn't have coverage near my house. I had to drive about 6-7 miles to the highway in order to get any service, so I decided ...

Pros: Rate plans and options. Cons: Worst customer service that I have ever experienced, period.
Billing department errors.
After using Alltel for the better part of the last 6 years I decided to go out on a limb and try Cingular for the better choices of options and plans. They claim a 30 day trial where you pay for your minutes of use and a three day no fees assessed ...

Pros: There is none. Cons: Horrible
I was on the phone with Cingular for 2 hours and 45 minutes today. Being an AT&T customer I was forced into Cingular. You don't automatically because a Cingular customer. No, but you are treated like an ugly stepchild until you MIGRATE over to ...

Pros: They have nice commercials. Cons: Their service sucks, their phones are junk and their customer service is non-existant.
I had the most horrifying experience with Cingular Wireless and was so happy to be free from their snare. In August 2004 I signed a contract with AT&T (not aware that they soon would be Cingular Wireless!) I told the sales rep at the AT&T store some of ...

Pros: Reasonable coverage, but when things go wrong, you're on your own. Cons: Horrible customer service.
This review relates to the Kic prepaid Cingular service. Their coverage area is reasonable, but for the first two months we couldn't reach customer service or the kic prepaid recharge line from the cellphone- which meant we had to find a land line to ...
