Pros: Good coverage area; Strong signal; Decent rate plans Cons: Unwilling to resolve mistakes made by sales reps
Well, here's how it went...I purchased a Nokia 2190 from BellSouth Mobility DCS (btw, the phone was great!) with a 1-year commitment that included statewide toll-free for a flat-rate. I completed the commitment and soon thereafter, added a second phone...

Pros: Free phone Cons: Customer Service. Frequent Busy system
If this is your first time with a wireless company. Be very careful with Cingular Wireless. Customer service will make you wait at least 15-30 minutes before anyone will talk to you. They won't be able to resolve any issue for you. A $36.00 charge...

Pros: best phones. decent prices. Cons: bad (very slow) customer service. system busies. lack of coverage
enough said. I'm locked into a contract for only 3 more months that I'm about to pay the $150 to get out of because having a cingular phone is pointless. I'm constantly getting system busies when I try to call out - even the time I tried 911.

Pros: NONE Cons: Limited service, deceiving business techniques, inability to change plans without material alteration of current service
About 6 months ago I purchased my first cellphone through Cingular which came recommended to my from a friend. The whole free nights and weekends deal seemed great and the nation wide long distance came in handy. I had a great plan for about 3 months....

Pros: Great service, good deals Cons: Can be pricey if you are not careful
I have been a Cingular (previously bellsouth mobility dcs)customer for almost 2 years now, and I have yet to be disappointed by what I have. I was a verizon (bellatlantic) customer before and was mislead by ads for free cell phone with a contract....

Pros: There are no pros to Cingular Wireless as far as I am concerned Cons: To many to list under 15 words
I am a former Bell South customer. I was not happy with their service, so when it came time to re-new my contract I declined. After it was taken over by Cingular, I decided to give them another try. I have only been with Cingular for 2 weeks, and I am...

Pros: Nokia phone 8890 works great. Warranty coverage good. Network coverage not bad. Cons: Busy signals. Callers call 10 times to reach me after 5pm. Inept customer service.
When I first started service in 2000, service was fine.
But since early 2001, the busy signals have increased
dramatically. My girlfriend had to call my phone 7 times
yesterday, and 10 times today just to get through to me.
Callers...

Pros: Competitive Plans Cons: Fine print
Customer Service is horrible
I have a Cingular Wireless account which was activated January 2001. As part of a promotion, the sales associate informed me I would receive "1000 minutes a month, that rollover for the first 3 months." Wow, that's great...I would receive 1000 minutes...

Pros: rollover minutes Cons: bad coverage, extremely poor customer service, frequent dropped calls, 2 year contract
I placed this review initially in the Cingular - Philadelphia area since there is no New York area on Epinions and my phones are registered in Philadelphia, but mainly used in NY. However this place is probably more appropriate for my review. So her ...

Pros: Digital--bells and whistles Cons: Digital--poor coverage, not user friendly
My phone is supplied by my employer so I can't give you costs, but I can tell you about useability, or the lack thereof.
We have about two dozen phones on this system and we are looking for a new carrier when the contract is up.(As an aside:...

Pros: Great website that allows you pay your bills online with no stamps. Cons: Customer service will put you "on hold" for 20-70 minutes during afternoons!
"Pacific Bell has now become Cingular." We hear this a lot especially from TV. Cingular has the best rates, yet it has poor service. The internet service at www.Congular.com is easy to use. However, when the time comes to dial 611 or the toll free...

Pros: Unlimited nights and weekends Cons: Poor customer service (not available 7x24)
Poor coverage in Manhattan (roaming on AT&T)
Cingular's service plans are good. My major complaint is that customer service is not available 7x24. If you have a problem on the weekends (Saturday starting at 5 PM), don't expect to get any help until Monday morning. So if you have problems with...

Pros: Cheap rates, friendly people in the Manhattan store Cons: Unimaginably awful customer service. Avoid these thieves at all costs!
I have now had a cingular wireless phone for exactly six months and I can easily say that this is the most imcompetent, hostile, rude company I have EVER dealt with. The nightmare began the first time I called customer service to complain about charges f ...

Pros: None. Cons: Irresponsible and Rude Customer Service Reps.
A couple of months after I got my mobile plan, Pacbell changed to Cingular and their plans slightly changed as well. I called and asked to be upgraded to one of their new plans that allowed more free minutes. The representative said that I would be...
