Pros: The only "TRUE" nationwide cellular provider. No roaming or long-distance charges. Cons: Service isn't provided in all states.
Cingular cannot be compared to by the other providers. At least not the old plans. I don't have to look at those coverage maps and figure out if I'm standing in the blue-shaded area and I'm covered in my plan or if I'll be paying roaming charges at 50...

Pros: Reasonable coverage, but when things go wrong, you're on your own. Cons: Horrible customer service.
This review relates to the Kic prepaid Cingular service. Their coverage area is reasonable, but for the first two months we couldn't reach customer service or the kic prepaid recharge line from the cellphone- which meant we had to find a land line to ...

Pros: ok coverage while in car Cons: coverage plans, shady reps
In the Fall of 2001 I received an expensive bill, it seems I had traveled out of my "HOME" area. I chalked it up to a mistake on my part. Cingular did what they could to ammend my bill and plan. (I thought they were being helpful.) I changed from a...

Pros: Rate plans and options. Cons: Worst customer service that I have ever experienced, period.
Billing department errors.
After using Alltel for the better part of the last 6 years I decided to go out on a limb and try Cingular for the better choices of options and plans. They claim a 30 day trial where you pay for your minutes of use and a three day no fees assessed ...

Pros: 5000 minutes for the weekend and long distance. Cons: This company has hidden fees, and charges for checking your voice mail.
The customer service at Cingular Wireless is horrible. I have only been with the company for four months, and the experience has not been pleasant. The first month with the company, I asked them to remove the Multimedia messaging from my phone. ...

Pros: Good coverage, competitive pricing. Cons: Poor customer service, frequent overcharges
Cingular has overcharged me on at least 12 of the bills which I have received in the past 18 months. I have spent several hours in the phone with customer service during those 18 months trying to get billing errors corrected. I have filed a complaint ...

Pros: was cheap Cons: very rude customer service, no support, horrible company
I am so disgusted with this company. I initially got 2 phones for myself and my husband through my employment at USAA. If USAA knew how badly Cingular treated their customers, they'd remove their name from any partnership with them! I canceled one ...

Pros: They have nice commercials. Cons: Their service sucks, their phones are junk and their customer service is non-existant.
I had the most horrifying experience with Cingular Wireless and was so happy to be free from their snare. In August 2004 I signed a contract with AT&T (not aware that they soon would be Cingular Wireless!) I told the sales rep at the AT&T store some of ...

Pros: Rollover minutes
Cons: Too many departments
I just wanted to say on behalf of the customer service reps, that if you guys can actually contact those who set up the call centers and their telephone systems that would be great. The reps you talk to on the phone are just as frustrated as the callers ...

Pros: The second phone was nice looking Cons: every damn thing
A few years ago in the small town that I use to live in the only cell provider was Cingular, so I go in and get a big ugly Nokia 5125 that had a battery that liked to travel as far away from the phone as possible, for this I paid $75 (can you say ...
