Pros: Wow, I really can't think of anything about this experience that was a pro. Cons: Everything.
Summary: I tried for two weeks to add a line to my fiance's Cingular service. It was real simple: 1. Switch to the Family Talk Plan 2. Add a new line (for me) 3. Upgrade her phone to the Motorola V600 4. Send me a new phone for the new line, another V600. ... read more

Pros: Cheap with loads of free/included features Cons: The service is brutal
Summary: I can't say enough bad things about Cingular's service in California.
1. It will work for a moment, then if you walk five feet away, the service will die. It's awful. I get anxious every time I have to use my phone. Most egregiously, it ... read more

Pros: Quick response time of customer service agents Cons: Inaccurate information.
Won't stand by answers or products.
User unable to determine when he's roaming.
Summary: When I first joined, I called customer service about roaming. They informed me that if my phone said "ROAM", then I was roaming, otherwise I was not. Recently I had large roaming charges, although my phone never said "ROAM". Cingular refused to ... read more

Summary: I've been a Cingular customer for about 5-6 years now. I used to use the now-defunct GTE wireless so I was really happy to switch to a new provider. A few words of advice though: 1. Watch out for roaming charges. Check the Cingular coverage map ... read more

Pros: Their 411 help is very good. Cons: Calls drop/fail. Service incompetent/rude. No effort to appease existing customers.
Summary: The sales person lied to me. I purchased an insurance plan for $99.95 which would replace a lost or stolen phone. If it was stolen I would need a police report, but if it was lost they just replace it. Not True. I lost my phone, and was told that I ... read more

Pros: Sometimes they have good deals on bundled phones and contracts Cons: They don't care. Cingular left us stuck paying for nothing.
