Love it so far!

by captainsly , Sep 09 '09
Pros: Price, coverage/reception, sound quality.
Cons: Limited selection of phones.
I've had Cricket Wireless for about 2 weeks now... it's been fantastic thus far. It hasn't cut out once (honestly), and nobody has complained on the other end about the quality of the sound. Also, it sounds good on my end... and typically if there's a ...

cricket: very good cell phone company

by aboutandrew , Dec 29 '07
Pros: cheap plans, unlimited everything, good coverage in your area
Cons: limited calling area
I have had cricket for 3 months now, and I am very impessed. It is a reliable, cheap and overlooked cell phone company. I signed up for the 45.00 "cricket choice" plan. Every month my bill is 47.02. You can see your bill online. The extra $2.02 is ...

Cricket who says its not good

by lezzhardin2005 , Jan 03 '03
Pros: The Customer service is terrible try not to call.
Cons: I think it is horrible try not to call at all.
I have had two Cricket phones: the first was a Nokia 5170i, the second a Motorola v120c. When I called to activate the Nokia I was on hold for about 5 min. the Rep. was very helpful but not fully informed. You see I am under eighteen, so my mom had to...

Cricket is great

by danewalker , Apr 08 '03
Pros: Great price for unlimited usage. 500 minutes of long distance included.
Cons: Doesn't work outside of local area.
I think it's great to pay the same price each month for service. After having Verizon, it's nice not to have to count minutes. Service is great. You can't beat the 500 minutes of long distance each month - you can even call internationally. There...

Pros: Unlimited Local Calling, 500m long distance, Call waiting/ID, 3way calling, voice mail, no contracts/credit checks.
Cons: None for me so far :)
Cell phones, cell phones, cell phones, everyone must have one these days. I purchased my cricket phone when cricket was first available in the northern colorado area. I paid 29.99 after the mail in rebate (got the nokia 5100i). I hardly ever travel...

Cricket has this market cornered!!

by eyeamsavedone , May 31 '02
Pros: Low cost, unlimited minutes, no"hidden charges", clearly outperforms any"billed by the minute" phone plans
Cons: If you need a roaming service, this isn't for you.
Finally !! Unlike other prepaid plans such as Verizon that still charge per minute, Cricket has LEAPed forward and offerred unlimited monthly minutes. I have since taken off all the additional and optional features of my home phone(caller ID, call...

Great Option in Lieu of Landline Phone

by pillowphat , May 17 '03
Pros: Great reception within local area, low cost
Cons: Not a lot of features, inability to roam regionally or nationally
I purchased my Cricket phone in the Denver area around March 2002. I had been involved in a personal crusade against our local telephone provider, Qwest, and wanted to permanently say goodbye to the behemoth. Through Qwest, I had a no-frills landline...

Cell Phones for the Proletariat!

by wyrd_guy , Oct 08 '02
Pros: No hidden costs, superior call quality, CDMA digital service, no credit check.
Cons: No roaming.
We use a Sprint PCS phone and a Cricket phone. Our Cricket phone consistently gets better reception with less dropped calls than our Sprint. The only reason we have a Sprint is because our Cricket phone is useless outside our "calling area".

Cricket in Denver

by mystica555 , Apr 22 '02
Pros: Unlimited Local Calls, Good Denver-area Coverage
Cons: Fairly expensive long distance, lack-luster customer service
While looking around for a decent deal in wireless phone service, I have come across many companies, too many to list here. However none offer unlimited local calls except (recently) Qwest. Problem is, their phone selection is very limited, (Only a...

I Guess I've Been Lucky!

by rlizard813 , Jan 03 '03
Pros: Low flat rate for phone service.
Cons: Features cost extra, customer service lacking.
I'm 23 and fresh out of college. When I made that decision to finally get a cell phone, I went to some other big name providers and was told I would need to put down a $200-500 deposit because I had no credit. (Not BAD credit, just NO credit). So I...

Cricket is great for those who want BASIC service!

by slynners , Jul 25 '02
Pros: cheap if you don't need to make long distance calls, unlimited minutes
Cons: customer service is computerized, static sometimes
I decided to get my cell service from Cricket about a year ago, when I got a new job that was an hour away from my house. I didn't need anything fancy, nor did I want to worry about minutes (anytime vs. night/evening). I use a Sam's Club calling card if...

My New Home Phone!

by rodfarthing , Sep 20 '02
Pros: Unlimited local calls with 500 minutes of long distance CHEAP!
Cons: Same as all the rest, occasional dropped calls, NO roaming at all....EVER!
I chose Cricket after stints with SprintPCS, Nextel, Alltel, Verizon, and Voicestram. Why? Primarily the unlimited local service. I LIVE on my cell for work and home, so the appeal of unlimited service for $32.99 per month was huge! Two months after...

Pros: Convenience
Cons: Freakin' cricket noises!!!!!!!!!!AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Ok... I can't find where anyone has said how to stop these freakin' things from chirping...

I usually use my cell phone as an alarm clock and recharge the phone at night, but as soon as you stick this thing into a charger, it starts...
