Pros: Unlimited usage for less than $40.00 per month. Cons: Many additional hidden costs, poor coverage and quality.
Everyone wants something for nothing, and many people think they have found it in Cricket Communications. Cricket is a fairly new wireless company that promises unlimited wireless usage for around $40.00 per month. This sounds too good to...

Pros: Unlimited Minutes. No commitment. No start-up costs. Cons: No extras (i.e. voice-mail, caller id). Suburb dead spots. Not a large variety of phones.
Having had AT&T as my wireless provider for a number of years I was tired of the "counting my minutes" scenario I went through each month. The coverage was fantastic, but a annual commitment to get the extras was also bothersome.
I cannot say...

(NOTE: This review is based on service as received in the Cricket Communications Knoxville area. Epinions has not included this area in their list. Customer Service is also included.)
Bought my Cricket in November 2000 - at a grocery store of...

Pros: inexpensive, easy to use, overall plan,
good product, no surprises on the bill.
growing fast. Cons: small coverage area, no long distance.
There's a new bug in town & it's making the big cell phone companies rethink their calling plans. Cricket phone Co. is beginning to cause problems for the big companies because of their calling plans. Finally people no longer have to watch every second...

Pros: No contract, unlimited minutes Cons: Limited coverage area, dropped calls, only 2 phones.
This is a review of the Cricket service in the Salt Lake, Ogden, and Provo area.
I first learned about Cricket from their TV commercials. It looked like a great deal for college students like myself. I needed a cell phone, but I didn't want to...

Pros: It's a fairly inexpensive way to be mobile. Cons: Poor connection, extremely poor customer service. Bait and switch pricing.
I was so excited when Cricket came to Nashville area. I did not want to go into the extra expense of a mobile phone when so many services cost too much, and have roaming charges to boot. Cricket supposedly answered that problem with one flat fee within...

Pros: Reasonable monthly fee. Good coverage area. No need to track minutes. No contract. Cons: Automated customer service system needs work.
In general I am pleased with my Cricket service. I don't have the headache of tracking my minutes and calculating my bill. I rely on my phone to keep me connected to my children when I am at work or running errands. I am happy to say that I have had no...

Pros: unlimited minutes Cons: horrible phones and service
So, when cricket first came out, it looked like the phone we always wanted. Unlimited minutes!!! Well, that would have been nice, if the phone actually worked!!
I had this experience about 2 years ago, and just now found out about this site....

Pros: Unlimited usage, no contract Cons: Customer Service, cheap phones, charges for paying cash
I do not reside in Salt Lake City or Ogden, but I have used cricket in another area and would like to share my experience with others.
I was first attracted to cricket because of the unlimited minutes. I started a phone with Cricket and gave up my...

Pros: Zero Credit Check. Excellent Customer Service. Unlimited Calling. Cons: None.
I would recommend this service to anybody. My wife & I have less than good credit... OK... Let's face it, we have horrible credit. Cricket made it very simple for us to receive a cell phone with absolutely no credit check. For several years we'd either...

Pros: No hidden charges, good customer service, adequate local coverage. Cons: Pre-pay long distance policy, a few dead spots in local calling area.
I'm a 23 year old singleton who simply needed a reliable cellular service for making all my basic calls and receiving calls from anyone who felt compelled to dial my digits. After comparing calling plans in Consumer Reports and inquiring about...

Pros: Cheap. Cons: You get what you pay for.
For service w/ voice mail and caller ID my monthly bill is $46.06. (Plus $2.00 if paid in person.) I suppose that isn't bad for unlimited local calling. However, I estimate that literally 20% of my phone conversations consist of either me or the person...

Pros: Coo service. No contract. Unlimited local/incoming minutes. 500 long distance minutes. Cons: Only works in your calling area. Cricket phones proprietary.
I went with cricket in December, 2001. All my friends dissed me for it, said I was dumb and laughed at me for going with a phone that doesn't work when you go on trips. Well, I was laughing a few months later when they all ran up huge $300 phone bills...

worst service plus so incompetent service
by smarty111 ,Sep 20 '07
Pros: WORST SERVICE, WORST PHONE AND WORST CUSTOMER CARE, NOTHING GOOD Cons: WORST SERVICE
Can not beleive it. I switch providers, Pocket ported the number and still get bills from cricket. It is supossed to be a pre-paid service. When I bought the phone, since the beginning did not work properly, I went next day to see if they can exchange the phone but because it does have more them 30 minutes air (talking) and were not able to exchange the phone. Even I was p[aying tha insurance needed to pay almost 85 deductible for a bad phone and service. I only last with them 2 months, got a pocket number and still being charged for a line Pocket has from 2 months now.
WORST COMPANY, SERVICE, CUSTOMER CARE.
