Pros: Their website once again offers e-mail customer service. Use it if you can. Cons: A fast reader could finish War and Peace holding on for phone service.
Sprint PCS offers me comprehensive, cross-country cellular phone service at a relatively low price. It fits my needs perfectly:
- I like their nationwide coverage, because we have young adult children living 350 miles away, as well as family...
Pros: great customer service so far, easy to work with, pretty good deals Cons: none so far
I must be very lucky. That's all I can assume when I hear about other people having problems with Sprint Customer Service, because as a Sprint customer since July of 2004, I have yet to have a single problem with their customer service. In the past, I ...
Pros: They got my money and I have a shiny phone that can't be used. Cons: THEY SUCK
Dear Sprint, my boyfriend (and by proxy, me) have been a customer of yours since 2001. In that time weve had our fair share of ups and downs but for some reason weve (my boyfriend and myself) have always come back and lauded the services and...
Pros: Well it doesn't cost much. Cons: There's a reason for that.
Most regular readers of my stuff here get a little excited whenever they see I've posted a review in a category that I usually don't write in. The majority of my body of work here is in travel, movies and books, with an occasional foray into the cigar...
Pros: Reps know what they are doing and usually do resolve issues. Service is great. Cons: Hold time sucks, too many arguments, unauthorized upsells. A few dead spots.
I have been a Sprint PCS customer for approximately two years now. I first obtained my cellphone, a NOKIA 3588i through an email advertisement saying I could obtain one. I had my bouts with credit issues and all of my previous phones were pre-paid. I may ...
Pros: No Roaming charges on Sprint PCS Network Cons: Poor Customer Service, limited Sprint PCS Network Coverage
I first got Sprint PCS when I was 7 months pregnant and my husband was out to sea. I didn’t really think much of what service to get. I was shopping at the Navy Exchange and there was a Sprint Booth so I stopped to find out more about them. I...
Pros: None. Cons: Long hold times, bad customer service, no interest in customer retention.
One never knows if the grass is greener on the other side of the hill until they actually roam over there and take a gander. I have not used my Sprint PCS phone in a little over a year now, but it has been active with my fiancee who was using it. I am c ...
Pros: Good service when you can get a signal. Cons: Can not get a signal outside cities, even on Interstate Highways.
On Monday, 2/26, the Chief Dragon in Residence decided, in a moment of firm resolve, to cast all caution to the winds and load the Dragonmobile with several week’s changes of clothing, her computer, lots of food, and various and sundry toys,...
Pros: I'm now deaf to 'musak' due to over exposure during Sprint Customer Service hold times Cons: I can't get rid of Sprint even if I pay them to go away.
October 4th, 2006, I went to my local Sprint store and bought a business phone from the Sprint Store rep 'Edward S'. I went by myself. I gave them my business name, and my business tax ID. I filled out the contract, and I signed it. After my phone was ...

Pros: I've not had too many problems with cell phone coverage in the US. Cons: Shockingly bad customer care.
I could write a book on my nightmare customer service experience with Sprint. I'll give you the short version: 1) I made the mistake of buying a Blackberry from a Sprinttelemarketer. I travel extensively, and was in need of a new phone so I was ...
Pros: You get a phone. Cons: The company is not forthright, responsive, or responsible.
I have recently begun helping an 85-year-old woman, "Suzie Smith," with her bills. In January she decided she no longer needed her cell phone; in fact, she'd had it for several years, never used it, and didn't even know her number. She had no paperwork ...
Pros: cheapest plan for basic service Cons: sketchy CS agents. Untrustworthy agency. Customer privacy is obviously a non-issue at this company.
I activated cell phone service for the first time 2 years ago. I had a dreadful sign-up process, but I was only familiar with Sprint and didn't want to sign up with an unfamiliar company right on the spot like that, so I had to stick with them. First ...
Pros: If you can get a signal - your conversation might be loud and clear. Cons: Advertised features don't work, dropped calls, poor signals, poor customer service, etc.
I did an awful lot of research before choosing a cell phone provider. I needed a very specific plan to fit my needs. I am a student at Penn State. Home for me is Boston, Mass. I spend my summers in Orlando, Florida, working for Walt Disney World. I...
Pros: Good technical service and products Cons: Horrible customer service and billing depts.
Let me first say that I love my cell phone. And I really like quality of equipment and technical service from SprintPCS. However, their customer service and billing departments could use a lot of work.
Pros: That "we built the only national network from the ground up" clarity; Adequate nationwide coverage Cons: Poor customer service; Hold times=infinity X pie.
My Angle
This review is written for my fellow American compatriots who may be considering signing on with Sprint PCS service. I became a customer within a few months of their roll-out in Orange County, CA back in 1997. I maintained my service...
Pros: Hard pressed to think of any Cons: You name it!!
I run a small business with about 6 cellular phone lines. We do a lot of traveling all around the country and our small local cellular companies plans were a little pricey for Nationwide service. So I heard about this "great" Sprint PCS service that...
Pros: Clarity of calls, reasonable rate plans Cons: Customer service horrible, they now charge you to talk to a human! Equipment quality questionable.
Judging from the reviews of other wireless providers that I've read here on epinions.com, Sprint is no better or worse than any of the others mentioned. They all seem to be pretty awful, and it's disheartening. I will admit, though, that I have only had...
Pros: Sprint PCS is a user-friendly, affordable service Cons: The quality of customer service varies
When we signed up with Sprint PCS three and 1/2 years ago, the main selling point was the "no contract" feature. We really liked that. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. In our are a one-year contract is now required., and I don't know which...
Pros: Great phone, great clarity Cons: Complete lack of competency in Customer Care, the website, and store personnel

Pros: price, reception Cons: billing, dealing with changes of service, false advertising
In the rest of this article, I beat up on Sprint, so you may wonder why I'm recommending them. The answer is that most of my complaints are really against the industry, and Sprint is no worse than the others. In fact, for the things that matter to me,...
First of all let me say up front that dealing with the Sprint PCS customer service department was a nightmare. Up until last week I had 2 phones on the Sprint PCS plan, one was mine and the other was my wife's. On May 14th I lost my phone and called...
Pros: None Cons: Horrible internal coordination. Stupid customer service, in the most literal sense of stupid.

Pros: My wife's phone (same model & age) works great. Cons: The Pensacola Main Sprint store manager has little or no interest in customer retention.
If you live in Pensacola, you may want to think twice about going with Sprint for your cell phone service. Their "customer service", is not. I've been fighting with my phone since I got it a year and a half ago. Been into the store several times. Been on ...

I have been a customer of Sprint since October 2003. Woe be me. I have never been late with my payments, not once. Last month, I had to move since I graduated and took up a new job. In the transition, my Sprint bill came to be 214$. I knew of this the ...
Pros: excellent call quality, great data service Cons: customer service sorta sucks

Pros: Nationwide plan great for my consultation business. I find myself waking in different cities often. Cons: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HISTORY!

Pros: They dont actively call me and harass me. Cons: Honestly? Nothing.
Corporations today rely on customer service to make or break their reputation. Most companies are so large, and so impersonal that interaction with them is exceedingly rare. Most of the time, this interaction comes through customer service. And it is ...
Pros: Can't think of any Pros Cons: The worst customer service I have ever had in my life
I was dissatisfied with my cell phone provider's service and started shopping around. I was told by Sprint, that they could transfer my existing numbers and there would be no interuptions in service. We ordered a family plan and 2 phones on Sunday, the ...

Pros: Coverage is great, Rates are good, phones features rock.
Cons: Customer service horrid. They try but when billing is wrong, it's a difficult position.
I used Verizon for 11 years. I think I called about a billing error once or twice. I've had sprint for 11 months and at least half of the bills are wrong. Calling customer service is futile. I've found contact via email leaves a paper trail so it's ...

Pros: sprint got extremly high profit form us. Cons: sprint should die.
Sprint hires some sneaky and sinky frauds such as 18883611962 with low price to lure us. Once we received the bill, which is weight to much high we originally agree to. Within 3 months we have paid $950 for three line basic family plan. Their agent ...
Pros: Not any Cons: Extremely poor customer service. Phone drops into $roam mode all the time for no reason.
I called them up to change my call plan (only takes effect at the end of a billing cycle, unlike AT&T). They said they changed the plan. Then, the next month, I had a bill for over $500 because they never changed the plan and I had used a lot of extra...

If I help detour just one person from trying out Sprint PCS or Nextel for that matter then my time spent writing this review was well worth it. Never mind the poor quality of phones, I must have went through about 5 of them in less then 2 years due to ...
Pros: Friendly people. Cons: When you can get to them.
It is very hard to get a hold of somebody when you call customer service. I'd suggest skip the phone altogether and go into a store, where the service is MUCH better.
They have a new rule that members in a limited spending plan get charged $3...
Pros: Nice phones Cons: Customer Service....or the lack thereof
If you have not already purchased a sprint phone, run away.....fast!! (unless doing business with a company that has integrity is not a priority for you).
I had Sprint for a short while...until I found out about their customer service. I had...
Pros: Fairly good coverage in rural areas. Cons: Don't expect service from this company....no matter how much you pay.

Pros: I have a phone.
I have reception. Cons: Store wait times for service require at least two hours.
There is little chance in our life times that J.D. Power and Associates will ever award Sprint with an excellent customer services award. Based on my own experience which spans some six months, I wish that an investigative news team had been filming. ...
Pros: Sprint has a good product, but the abusive reps, ruined it for me Cons: About 7/10 customer service reps, are rude, ignorant, and lie
We as consumers have many types of business interactions in the course of a week (ie, mortgages, banking, car loans, insurance, etc). Most corporations value their customers, and treat them with respect, except Sprint PCS, where verbal abuse and ...
Pros: None that I know of. Cons: Horrible coverage, horrible service.
I've had Sprint PCS for about 2 years, and I've regretted every minute of my experience. At one point, it was so bad I filed a complaint with the BBB. After this, service was great for about 6 months, then fell off again to their normal level--so if you...
Pros: NON Cons: Will steal the pennies off a dead man's eyes and then lose them.
To tell the full story of how bad this company is would take up too much room. Here are the highlights: -sold my late father a phone that allegedly password-locks, and didn't explain this feature -when, addled after cancer surgery, he accidentally ...
Pros: Moderately priced phone plans with mobile-to-mobile calling. Cons: Unbelieveably bad service.
The Sprint customer service machine is flawed from start to finish. When I first began having problems with my phone (blackout of the screen, inability to use my headset) I went to a Sprint store. The associate held my phone for 10 seconds and told me ...
Pros: Pricing Cons: Poor Customer service, no value in valued customer

Pros: Rate plan, no overages, coverage, and my sweet phone Cons: Think customer service is bad with Sprint? Try talking to someone at Cingular.
I have bad credit, but got a phone with Sprint with a low deposit. I've been using them for nearly 4 years and have never once had anything negative to say about them. I've changed my plan over and over again with no hassles, I've had replacement phones ...
Pros: Um, they have cool phones? Cons: TERRIBLE customer service!!!!!

I have had horrible problems with other service providers both of which have merged into one (the largest and worst) company I first got Cingular, the only service in the small podunk town from which I came (moved thank god) which is also about the only ...
Sprints Customer Service is so incredibly bad; save your sanity. In my case, no two C/S reps told me the same thing. I would comply with Rep #1, the next statement find out they were wrong, comply with Rep #2, find out they were wrong. Finally I wrote a letter, got a written response...and found out that supervisor was wrong! In the meantime, no statement matched what any rep told me over the phone. I cancelled in disgust.
Pros: There are no pros. Sprint has bad service and bad customer service. Cons: Bad customer service/phone system.
Terrible terrible terrible customer service. It is incredibly difficult to get through their phone system to speak with a representative. Often the system or the representatives will hang up on you. Numerous times representatives have accidentally transferred me back to the original menu instead of the department they were supposed to transfer me to. The representatives usually do not understand English very well.
After 8 years... enough is enough by couleur ,Feb 20 '08
Pros: None anymore Cons: customer services lies! sales center Lies! will NOT renew even if they pay me
the service sucks
the new changes in their database are a way to mess you up even more with the bills... cause now you can't see you previous bills to compare.
they are a bunch of thieves...
and what is worst is when their customer agents would LIE and loose their integrity to protect a bunch of thieves who are just paying them a few dollars just enough to pay their bills... and soon don't worry THEY WILL SEND IT TO INDIA TOO...
People forget that lying for a company is not good... for the company you are just a number and nothing else... they don't care about their employees... like Earth link Oops they used to sell each others product... i guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..
Pros: Nothing is good about Sprint! Cons: Poor phone reception/service, fraudulent billing, poor customer service.
Sprint Customer Service and its phone service is the worst I have ever used. I've been a cell phone owner/user for nearly 15 years. I had 4 different phones in 3 different states in the 6 years I was with Sprint. All were terrible for service in all 3 states. I had multiple dropped calls everyday, no service inside most buildings, and no service outside of a city. The customer service there is the worst of any company I've been with. The txt messaging service is absolutely horrible because it is not user friendly in any way. The online help is useless for resolving anything. The phone CSR's aren't much better. They are rude and fail to ever help a customer. Sprint's billing practices lack good business practice. For 6 months in a row I had to call and have them correct my bill. For example, I was being charged for two separate state taxes even though I lived and and the number was local in ONE state. The hand never knows what the fingers are doing with sprint.
customer Service is a nightmare by rabahjack ,Jul 09 '07
Pros: None Cons: long wait, incompetant, no desire to work things out, they donlt follow through
After Inquiring about phones from a Sprint Dealer, they fradulently signed me up for a sprint plan. the phones were sent in the mail, and I was sent a $2000 bill from sprint. I spent hours on the phone trying to get help. I was transferred from department to department of incompetent service reps. I had to tell the story over and over again, and then they would say, oh, you must have been transferred to the wrong department. I c? say it is a living hell, trying to get someone in sprint o help.
My Sprint PCS Experience... by sprinttampabay ,May 22 '05
Pros: Better phones & service..coverage is as good as anyone's new Fair & Flexible America Plan... Cons: Bad past rep...but they are over coming it...
I have had Sprint PCS service for 3 months now and no problems with coverage or customer service...Actually my coverage and service has been better than the last 2 years with Verizon whom I was with 6 1/2 years...I field test my PCS phone & coverage for 2 weeks comparing it to my Verizon...results neither dropped a call...Verizon would switch signals often as usual...Sprint PCS roamed 1 time for 2 miles on a country back road...the PCS phone was so much clear than the VZW and had better battery life...
I also called Sprint customer service 3 times emailed them 2 times...response time was great hold times less than VZW...email response days ahead of VZW...I found the Sprint CSR's to be friendy and helpful...oppose to the usual no and we can't help VZW...
Inconclusion I find Sprint PCS moving forward in coverage with the new Fair & Flexible America Plan...simular to VZW America Choice...also the Sprint PCS customer service is more user friendly than VZW these days...My pick...I switched too PCS...
Pros: Clear quality. Unlimited Vision Cons: Coverage, customer service
I had Sprint for over 5 years with a very large contract (over $150/mo) Sprint not only couldn't fix a billing error that was part of a contract I signed, but refused to give me rebates. In addition to this, I kept losing connections. When I tried to cancel they claimed I had THREE (3) seperate contracts with that that I needed to pay a cancelation for. How do you get three contracts on one account and why do I have to pay a cancelation fee for a contract they wouldn't honor?
Sprint's Customer Service is the Worst by jazzsupreme ,Oct 03 '06
Pros: None. Does not repair or replace devices and insure that they are functional. Cons: Poor customer service and in-store servicing.
I brought the treo 600 because I thought it would prove a good integration of phone and pda functions. I was wrong. The devices life was limited to about six months. Worse still, sprint's customer service does not respond to problems with the device. They paraphrase everything a customer says, make oral agreements which they have no intent of honoring. Going to customer service in an urban area guarantees a wait of 2 hours. My device was supposedly replaced after it had been found to be defective. However, when receiving the replacement it too was defective. Customer service in the store alleged that they did not have the equipment to test the functioning of the device. As a result, I received another defective device which like the first treo 600 only had a phone function and could not perform any pda related tasks. I cannot believe the arrogance and incompetence I encountered both in the store and with customer service.
Worst Customer Service for a Major Cell Phone Company by sacramentohome ,Aug 18 '07
Pros: Nothing positive to say about Sprint Cons: Worst Customer Service phone lines for a Major Cell Phone Company
Worst Customer Service phone lines for a Major Cell Phone Company
Have you ever been placed on hold for an hour and 45 minutes?. Well, I redialed 4 times and was placed on hold forever. They always fail on the phone lines. They shouldn't be in service at all.
Isn't it something, I had to go to a Sprint store and use the phone service there and was able to get a customer service rep online. What is this gimmick, get the customer to the in-store and the customer lines actually work. Do they think about the gas spent, the time spent for customer to get to the store, and line up as well? No, No, they do not think about that at all. This is a selfish company. I am switching to Cingular. The terrible part about this as well, is sometimes I'll get some guy or gal from India and sorry, but I am not sure what English language they speak. It is quite difficult to communicate with them as well. It just doesn't get better does it? GOOD GOOD BYE SPRINT.
Pros: cheapest plans and sprint to sprint for only 5 dollars a month Cons: Customer service is always rude... shaky singnals every where I go
Sprint has the worst customer service I have ever had and it stinks because I have a two year contract.... They always charge me for things I do not... have my billing statement has to be changed every month, I get other custormers bills instead of my own if i even get a statement in the mail. I have been hung up on for asking questions and treated even more rudely in the store. The person who sold me the phone didnt even know the product he had.... He told me I was getting a camera phone and when I asked him to show me how to use the camrea there was not one on the phone. I have been charged $5 for making an in store payment and $8 for making a over the phone credit card payment. There is nothing I love about this product.... and the funny thing is I dont even get a good singal in the sprint store!!!
Sprint has the Most Incompetent Cust Service!!!! by frankdatank ,Jun 07 '05
Pros: Can't really think of anything. Cons: The most incompetent cust service I have ever had to deal with. Seriously. Just terrible.
I went over my minutes last month and my girlfriend recommended that I sign up for unlimited Sprint to Sprint, which I did. I had several frustrating instances of dealing with Sprint's incompetent customer service in the past, so when I ordered the unlimited Sprint to Sprint plan, I kindly asked the customer service agent I spoke with to confirm that, as of that day, I was covered in that particular plan. She confirmed.
Yesterday, my phone service gets turned off. Why? Because I owe $260 for going over my minutes. I look at my online invoice and vast majority of these calls are with other Sprint lines. I call Sprint cust service and they say there is no record of me ordering unlimited Sprint to Sprint service. So, we get into a battle of my word against their word. Cust service agent says his supervisor will call me within 1 hr to discuss further. He never called. I had to pay the charges in order to turn my service on. Unfortunately, this is really just one of many extremely frustrating experiences I have had with Sprint's cust service.
ITS TRUE !!! SPRINT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRID!!!! by daveisallthat ,Oct 27 '05
Pros: BEST PHONE SERVICE AND GREAT PLANS Cons: WORST IN THE WORLD CUSTOMER SERVICE, SO BAD THE STRESS ALONE COULD KILL YOU!!!
LISTEN TO ME EVERYONE, SPRINT IS GREAT BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD, I SWEAR ITS AS IF THEY GET PAID TO TREAT YOU LIKE DIRT, AND I SWEAR THEY GET A BONUS TO KEEP YOU ON THE PHONE FOR HOURS AND THEN HANG UP ON YOU, I BEEN GOING THROUGH HELL AND BACK FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS WITH THEM, NOT WORTH IT, IF I HAD BETTER CREDIT I WOULD GO TO ANYONE ELSE BUT WITH SPRINT I ONLY HAD TO PAY 125. CASH DEPOSIT,
no consistency and integrity in the customer service by wwei01 ,Feb 11 '04
Pros: No pros available. Cons: Make customer uncomfortable. Frequent roaming in your local service area.
I upgraded my PCS phone on 12/2004 when Sprint was having a promotion plan. The sprint store representatives input my information into their system to verify if I was qualified for the rebate. The answer from the system was I was qualified. So I bought the phone and got the rebate receipt. After I sent out the rebate to rebate center for 6 weeks, I did not receive any response. I checked the rebate status on-line. It shows my rebate status is invalid. I called the rebate center. They said I had to call the customer service. I called the rebate center and spoke to a rebate representative. She asked me to call the customer service. She said that she could not do anything for me and hanged up the phone. Do you call this kind of service is a customer service? If I was told in the store I was not qualified, I could have more options. Right now I could not return my phone since the purchase is over one month. This way to do business is like cheating on customers.
Pros: The product is good, good phones. Cons: Ive been with verizon, bell south & now sprint. Wish I stayed with verizon.
Sprint customer service and billing is terrible. Over charges, run you back and forth into their store just to tell you the opposite of what was said on the phone or on line. Product is good but everything else is terrible.
horrifying experience with Sprint by hfchow ,Dec 26 '03
Pros: nice cameras on their phones. Cons: don't bother asking for help -- you will be ignored. very poor customer service.
every time i have needed support i have been disappointed.
just today i asked if they could do a warranty fix for me. but no luck. apparently they can't fix your phone if you scratched it. a scratch??? who DOESN'T have a scratch on their phone somewhere?? why would a cosmetic scratch on the phone affect the electronics??? seems like a cheap way to get out of an obligation to provide customer support.
another time i asked if they were planning to come out with a bluetooth phone. and they said "why do you need it? you don't need bluetooth. buy this phone here instead.". i could not believe they said that. i should have recorded it.
the problem is, they have the attitude that "everything is fine here, it must be your fault".
please stay away from sprint and avoid my fate. i'm waiting until my contract expires so i can switch. i hate sprint.
Pros: None, I can't even get an answer on where the phone was purchased or activated. Cons: The CSR gave me my husbands SSN without even knowing who I was. WOW, scary!
They won't even turn off the phone that I never ordered. They must be paying commission to dot com companies that sign you up and you never know it because their email goes to your spam file. I got hit by whereismyorder.com. No phone, no service and Sprint pretty much told me to stop bothering them. I'll see what the FTC has to say...
Sprint does not care about customer service. by johnpolanco ,Dec 20 '04
Pros: THEY ARE QUICK TO REMIND YOU IF YOU ARE ONE DAY LATE IN PAYMENT. Cons: POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT CARE ATTITUDE, MECHANICAL PERSON ANSWERS 800 HELP NUMBER, CLAIRE.
Their reps do not have training in customer service. They can not handle complaints and have the attitude if you do not like us then leave us!
I have had several bad episodes at their Mission Valley location in San Diego. I have a been a long time customer and paid my monthly bill of over $125.00 per month loyally. But I had enough.
I was promised a new TREO 650 phone to replace the TREO 600 (defective TREO 600 replaced 3 times in less than one year) and they reneged.
The local store referred me Claire (their infamous telephonic rep. I called Claire and spoke to some clerk ( no supervisor would come to the phone), I was told to return to the local store!
I am paying the penalty fee and leaving them within the next few days.
SPRINT IS HORRIBLE AND IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE I DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!
Worst Service Ever!!!!Run!!!!!!!! by palfarob ,Sep 20 '06
Pros: If you find one let me know Cons: Really bad customer service, awful signal, awful plan deals, etc, etc, etc
I have been with Sprint for 2 years and half. My contract will expire in October, because when day I needed to change my phone so without any notices SPRINT gave 6 more months in my contract.
I cannot wait to change companies!! I really need to talk on the phone with my family who is back in Costa Rica and guess what...I do not get service in my apartment since a year ago...What did Sprint Cust. Serv. said about that...well, maybe you can go out of your apartment and make the calls!!!!Believe it!! I have tried to cancel my contract 4 times: 3 by phone, 1 at the store. 3 times by phone they hanged out on me and 1 time at the store their "computer system was down" hhhhoooo, what a coincidence!!!
I think that the day that my contract expires (10 days from now) will be one of the happiest day of my life!!!
Their customer service sucks by pstotts ,Nov 20 '03
Pros: Pricing plans Cons: Customer service, customer service, customer service
Sprint will not work with you on anything. All of their representatives are extremely rude once they've sold you their product, and their word is not worth the paper its written on. Shop for your wireless service elsewhere.
Sprint has horrible customer service by amberketchum ,Oct 08 '08
Pros: NONE! Their customer service is horrible always. Cons: Wait times long, reps don't help you, managers don't really know how to fix problems.
Thier billing is always incorrect. When you call customer service they just say it is correct and try to get off the phone with you. I have gone to the BBB three times and have been correct each one.
