When choosing a phone service provider, take your time, breathe, relax. Buying a cellphone can either be the best thing ever or a total nightmare. In choosing Sprint, I would say you'll probably get the nightmare.

I remember when Sprint was awful, and my friends kept trying to pawn their PCS phones off on me in the rush to switch to Bell Atlantic or AT&T. What we've learned since then is that no mobile service is great, but that some of them try harder.

Pros: clear lines, few dropped calls, good coverage, good # of minutes
Cons: poor customer service, no free phone, to get a good plan you have to catch them on promotion.
