Generally good coverage
by gisele88 ,Aug 04 '04
Pros: A bit more expensive than Cingular for the same minutes (but worth it) Cons: No roll-over minutes, occasional dropped calls
I switched to Verizon (from Cingular) because Cingular was billing me for roaming in an area for which I was supposed to have no-roam coverage, the roaming rate was HIGHER than that in the printed literature, and they told us they didn't "know how" to correct the errors. Verizon has always billed us correctly, allowed us to freely upgrade our service without a contract extension, and has given us excellent coverage when we travel. We pay about $10/month more for the same (or fewer) minutes but have a much wider coverage area and better reception. We also get better customer service and enjoy on-line services that are easy to use. Verizon also offered a much better choice of phones.
