Pros: convenient access to menus, powerful zoom, smooth slo-mo, very quick start up, HDCD decoder Cons: problem playing CDs, loud spinning noise, cannot play CDR or MP3
I've found all the DVD-related features are outstanding. There is also a gaming feature that I've not even touched.
My disappointments are that there is no repeat feature or other features useful for playing a music CD, other than skip and...

Pros: Many features, reliable, has built-in gaming system, easy to use Cons: Limited number of Nuon Games Available
I've owned this DVD player for about a year now and have been happy with it. It generally has all the features that one would care to have in a DVD player.
I have 2 of the NUON games. The games are about the same quality as a Playstation and...

Pros: Great picture & sound, great ZOOM feature, very good remote Cons: menus are a little slow
Has all the usual features of competitive brands.
I bought this one because it has the ZOOM feature, and not just any zoom, but a very very good one. Many many steps, and much less loss of detail when zooming, than some of the other brands, thanks...

Pros: Excellent picture & sound, helpful special effects, great remote, reasonably priced Cons: Only one digital output (coax), The NUON isn't really useful for games, only special effects
I have been quite impressed Toshiba 2300 as a mid-range dvd player. I have it hooked up to my 27 inch Sharp through the s-video and the picture quality is excellent. It also offers great, clear sound, a easy to use remote, etc... The NUON capability...

Pros: Digital coax and analog sound ports. Also plays CD-R recorded with iTunes! Cons: Haven't found any yet
I bought the SD-2300 even though I was looking for the SD-2200 model. It looks as though the 2300 is now selling for the same price as the 2200 ($299); perhaps Nuon is going the way of Sega. Frankly, I couldn't care less as I bought this unit to play...

Pros: Features RICH: Zoom, 3D-2-2, VLM. A top of the line DVD player! Provides detailed thumbnails. Cons: Nuon Games aren't popular yet, doesn't play VCD. Seems little slow in Menus.
The best thing I love about this DVD player is it Zooms 16x...not many other DVD players does this.
The second most reason I brought this DVD player is it is NUON games compatible. I don't know enough about these games (quality-wise), however...

Pros: Easy to use with excellent image and sound, even your grandma can work it Cons: Doesn't play cd-r's and some video cd's
I researched DVD players for two weeks before I bought the Toshiba sd-2300. DVD technology is still relatively new and is still growing so I wanted to make sure that I didn't buy a cheesy player that would be useless right after I took it out of the box....

Pros: Reasonably priced, feature rich, easy to use and durable Cons: no optical out
I did a lot of research before buying this dvd player and found at the end, that it is everything it claims to be. Currently, there are two players on the market (more coming) that make use of the NUON chip. This one and the Samsung.
They...

Pros: Features for the price (and even regardless the price), picture and sound quality Cons: You will have to wait for NUON discs to appear
Toshiba SD2300 DVD player has a new feature called NUON compatibility. We are starting to see the game consoles and DVD players merge. PS2 plays DVD discs, but now DVD players starting to be able to allow you to play games.
