Picture a pure flat screen with a 16: 9 aspect ratio. That means you can watch DVD movies - either in letterbox or anamorphic wide screen - without losing any of the picture. It's like watching movies through the eyes of the director! In fact, even when viewing a traditional 4: 3 video source, you can select from one of four viewing modes, including a true 4: 3 aspect ratio. Simply put, the 34N-WF5H Pure Flat TV delivers the highest picture quality possible in its class. The unit accepts HDTV inputs and displays them in full 1080I resolution - you'll enjoy HD movies and sporting events broadcast by major networks in stunning clarity. To support this display, Sharp incorporated two new proprietary technologies (30 MHz HD-Contrast Enhancer and HD-Color Purity Processor), which aid the unit in reproducing video images at their highest performance level possible. The result? A crisp, clean image - in all of its original, glorious color. SharpVision has also maximized the quality of analog signals through an exclusive proprietary technology called DDFC, or Digital Double Format Converter technology. DDFC does more than traditional line doublers in enhancing analog video signals. DDFC upconverts standard 480I to 480P or 1080I for increased clarity and picture detail. It also significantly reduces flicker from the original source. SharpVision also includes a 10-bit 3D Y/C digital comb filter that removes artifacts inherent in analog broadcast signals at four times the conventional rate of traditional comb filters! So, when seen on the 34N-WF5H, even analog signals are positively sharp! |
