| david_n_dc's Full Review: AT&T Mobile Phone Service in Washington/Baltimore |
I use the AT&T digital one rate plan with my Motorola StarTAC in the Washington DC Metro Area. Overall I am pleased with the plan and the pricing seems to be fair based on other local plans. What attracted me to the AT&T Digital One Rate was the fact that there is no long distance charges or roaming fees at all. You are paying for your talktime regardless of where you use the phone. This is a great plan for people who travel in and out of the Home service area on a regular basis.
One thing that I wish AT&T would consider is putting repeaters on the Washington DC metro system. This would allow you to use your phone when underground on the subway. However, other than that, I have always been able to use my phone whenever I wanted, and wherever I wanted.
The detailed billing is a nice touch, with a breakdown on the statement on every call that I made. Also AT&T gives the option of paying by credit card every month automatically. Now I don’t have to worry about sending in a check one a month, the billing is transparent.
Option wise, the AT&T plan has just about all the features you could ask for, including voicemail, caller ID, and Internet messaging service. They also gave me an email address so I can receive emails on my phone.
If you are in the market for a plan that is reasonably priced, with good coverage, this is the plan that I would recommend.
