Small and Reliable
Oct 06 '00
About four years ago I received a small CD player for my birthday. I'm not quite sure which specific player it is, but it's one of the small boom boxes. Even after being banged and bumped, it still plays remarkably well and everything.
CD Playing Quality
After four years, the CD playing quality still works like a charm. I would take this CD player on trips, outside, etc...where it got scratched and banged, but it still played music wonderfully.
Radio Playing Quality
This CD player picked up our local radio stations with a very clear reception. It had one of those nobs with the red lines that you move over, but you could still find the station you were looking for easily.
Tape Playing Quality
As someone who loves to record songs off of the radio, and for only having a small CD player, it worked extremely well. Everything is clear and is very easy to record with.
Volume & Bass
The volume and bass had their own controls, and worked very well. Although, when putting the bass at its highest, there would be an awful static sound. Other than that the volume is clear, and the bass is great.
I have recently, on my 14th birthday, received a larger Philips stereo. Unfortunately, there is no category under stereo systems for Philips, so I can't write a review on it. I still use my small Aiwa CD player to take outside, etc. It is a great, reliable little CD player. It's great for kids who haven't gotten a CD player yet.
