This cd player has a fantastic quality. This model is a big jump from the model below which does not have the obvious feature of a rotary knob. I bhave seen both model and I believe the $ 50.00 jump is worth it for a number of reasons. It has the neat feature, although not a necessity, of titleing disc. only downfall on this is you can only name 18. But as far as the sound quality goes, it is superb. My only complains is that the model above this (alpine 78-39) includes BBE and also a niffty little remote. This is all possible for just an extra $20.00. I didnt have that extra money but it does help. That extra stuff is not that much of a difference but its a nice little cherry on the pie if you got the dough. If you wanted to install a cd-changer, you have controls for it with the 78-38. But overall if you want to have superior sound and not all that extra buzz, i highly recommend the cda-7838!!
