| b4uHeisGod's Full Review: Hughes Networks D1131 Single LNB DIRECTV System |
Often we search and names grab us and so does the cost. RCA, Sony, and the like are before you with all the history and Hughes was a name unfamiliar to me. Good thing about Hughes is the price. Although leary about the product, being unfamiliar with the manufacturer, it seemed a small risk to invest the asking price. Sure, the others were far more familiar but the price difference in my area was practically double. Still, I'm not a gambler, so I did some investigative work. The salesman helped me along. Even though, he wanted to push for the more costly models he had to admit that Hughes offered the same things. After some time and effort I agreed to purchase this product for an associate who was looking for a good buy but was unfamiliar with dishes and wanted to get out of the Media One Cable Blitz. That's right I tried it out on them. They've enjoyed the product had me over and I've found it to be exceptional in all categories. This product is for all of those who may not have the big dollars and are not interested in spending much for prime entertainment. It's short comings are few, but as I understand it, these problems are common to most Directs. During severe weather there is temporary signal loss. Living in Florida, when the storms start brewing there is momentary signal break up. Please, remember it is only momentary.
