AT&T's service offered in this plan is just as written. It covers you calling across the country, and switches you from local areas to roaming areas automatically. There is no charge for the service (switching).

AT&T's coverage is another thing. They still have SIGNIFICANT work to do in the St. Louis market. Coverage is sporadic in many areas (urban areas) and repeated calls to their engineering folks have proven futile.

Since adequate coverage is the flashpoint of any cellular or digital plan, simply getting their "footprint" (coverage you see on the above map) in the area is not enough. More attention needs to be paid to actively seeking out trouble areas and fixing them in a proactive manner, but ESPECIALLY responding to calls from customers reporting dead spots in coverage.

When choosing a service provider in the greater St. Louis area, examine ALL your options before choosing AT&T. At some point they may provide better coverage, but right now they are seriously lacking in their ability to keep your calls from dropping and your blood pressure from rising!
