I have been a directtv customer for sometime,I have now changed to the dish network.I have to tell you the truth for the most part either system would be better than cable tv.The two systems dish and directtv are about the same.Dish now has the cabability to offer you up to 500 channels.Directtv offers a good package and especially if you like sport packages.Dish seems to lean more toward movie packages.No don't panic they also have sports too.Dish is now offering this fantastic system free.Once you purchase to system and agree to keep their service for a year and you have had the systeem for two months they will rebate the purchas cost of the equipment.You now have access to your local channels in most areas.The picture quality and sound are superb and cable cannot compare to it.The entertainment programming packages are cheaper than cable and offer you a whole lot more.Let me see you get as many channels on cable for $39.95 as you get with dish network.A great system.By the way it dosen't lose the picture everytime it rains or comes a storm.It may blink for a minute but it is right back on the air.
