Pros: phone was just .01, itemized bill in detail
Cons: incoming and outgoing calls take off of the free min., customer service pathetic, coverage lousy, signal, horrible, fees astronomical for roaming compared to most others.

I re-located to the Omaha, NE area several months ago and while I was house hunting I got a cell phone so that I could have a real contact number instead of the temporary place that I was staying at number. I got what sounded like a GREAT deal at the time. Two year contract with 350 free min a month for $29.95 and the phone for just a penny. Since I signed up for the 2 year plan I was also given 500 free weekend minutes a month as well as voice mail for the phone and caller ID. When I got my first bill it was OUTRAGEOUS. They had charged me a connection fee (not mentioned at signing) and $5.99 for the "free weekend minutes" but still charged me for the extra minutes that I used over the 350 min that I had used for the month (nearly 500 since I THOUGHT tat they were covered).
I called their service number and was told that even though I had gotten the FREE 500 min on weekends plan that they had to charge me for it the first month since I started into the month and that the next month it'd be free for real. The service agent also informed me that I would STILL have to pay for the weekend minutes that I had used in spite of paying the $5.99 for the extra 500 weekend min.
The coverage is sporadic and weak signals constantly sent the phone into roaming mode even on a short drive across town. The quality when you DO manage to make or receive a call is revolting, voices fade in and out or cut out all together even when standing outside in the open.
The contract will automatically be renewed and considered binding if the service is not notified of the desire to not renew before the end of the contract by phone.
The customer service personnel that I have spoken with have extreme difficulty with the concept of customer service yet maintain a medicated cheery tone while telling me that they don't understand what I am asking for or about.
Once the contract is up I'm switching to a different company and would only recommend this service to people who are looking for an expensive gag gift for a disliked family member or friend.
