A home entertainment system was what I needed. I decided to move my old Sony stereo downstairs, and purchase a new top-of-the-line super system for my room. I was originally hoping to have a DVD player for my Zenith TV in my room, but my previous attempt failed. So I decided to get this full system for my room. I only have one thing to say, "Boy was I amazed!!!!" Here's what I found with this system:
Price:
I purchased this entertainment system for only $1149.50. I did actually consider that a good price, becuase it came with a 5 year parts&labor warranty from Sony. The quality you get with this system is just purely INCREDIBLE. First, you get a 5 disc changer DVD/CD player. Then you get a 12" sub-woofer with mass power, 2 supreme speakers, and other great features. I have seen speakers alone for around $1000, but I can tell you that this is all you need. It's got the Dolby Digital surround sound in it =)
Warranty:
I got a 3 year parts&labor warranty from Sony in the R-7000 system. Sony is great with their warranties, they take care of your problems quickly, and they do a pretty good job with it. There are no hassles with the warranty.
Durability:
I have had no problems at all with this system! The Sony R-7000 is definately built to last. Most of Sony's products are built to last, and they are virtually unbreakable. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with this system =)
Sound:
There are 2 huge and powerful speakers in this stereo. They release great sound, that just fills the room and its very beautifully pitched. The sound was never ever fuzzy, even when I played Mr.Robato at full volume. The sound always comes out very smooth, and clear. The sound quality is as good as any other brand, such as Bose and MK which are known for their prostegious sound. Boy do I love the Japanese built speakers!!! =) The sound released out of my stereo is some of the best sound I have ever heard, it even goes into the class with MK and Bose. The 400 watts that the system gives out is just purely incredible, you will love the sound!
DVD Quality:
You get what you pay for!!! The DVD quality is great on the R-7000! All the picture and quality on my Zenith were very smooth and colorful. The sound was great. The DVD that you get with this system is great Sony quality! You should consider using this DVD with a powerful TV that you have, preferably Sony. This DVD is just great!
CD Quality:
Like any other Sony music system, the CD quality is great! The Sony R-7000 comes with a 5 DVD/CD changer, so you store a few of your CDs in it. The sound from the speakers is just INCREDIBLE. Your CDs will sound great on the R-7000! The Dolby Digital sound adds great effects to your music. Also, from the 12" sub-woofer, you'll get INCREDIBLE bass. The Sony R-7000 system is great for playing your CDs.
Bass:
There is a 12" sub-woofer that comes with the Sony R-7000. It adds great effects to the sound. The sub-woofer I found to be very powerful. Its so much fun to play your sound to full blast, and have your house shake. That's truly how powerful this sub-woofer is. It does easily compare to other larger sub-woofers that you could buy seperately.
Ease Of Use:
Like the previous stereo that I had, I had a remote control with this one. It makes using the Sony R-7000 very easy. You can virtually control the whole system from your remote control. It is that easy to use. It is also very easy to use if you operate it manually by pressing the buttons and everything on the actuall system. Just about anyone can use this, even people who are bad at using electronics.
The Verdict:
This is probably the best entertainment system that i have ever seen. The price and everything, it was just incredible! Don't hesistate with the price, you get so much with this! A great warranty, DVD player, CD player, 2 speakers, Dolby Digital sound, 12" sub-woofer, 5 DVD/CD changer, and many more features! This is a very high quality system! I would recommend it to anyone! Hence, it's also very easy to use =) This is the master of all entertainment systems!
