This phone has a number of great features, including support for 2 lines and caller-id. However, the features cannot outweigh the number of problems we've had with the phone.
I've actually owned two of these phones. The first had problems with some of the buttons and so we returned it. The second phone worked well for over a year and has recently (of course after the warranty expired) developed a problem where the phone disconnects for a split-second during a call. At best, it's annoying. At worst, it completely disconnects the call and I'm forced to redial. Likely this is a problem specific to my phone, but considering this is the second phone of this model that I've owned, I can't recommend it.
Other negatives:
- The phone with battery is somewhat bulky and heavy. Compared to the smaller Panasonics that are available, it's huge.
- The caller id display is handy, however the nice feature of automatically putting in the telephone number when you hit a specific button is useless as it leaves off the "1" that is typically necessary.
Positives:
- Good sound quality
- Easy to use / simple to setup
- 900Mhz / Digital
Because of my experiences, I won't buy another Sony phone.
Recommended:
No
