| J49307's Full Review: Paradigm CC-350 Center Speaker |
The CC-350 is the center channel deisgned to match the Monitor series by Paradigm. The CC-350 consists of one titanium tweeter and two 6.5" poly woofers with die-cast chassis in a horizontal position. Basically,woofer-tweeter-woofer. There is a rear port which enables the CC-350 to belt out deep bass around the 65-70Hz range. The connections on the back can be made via heavy duty binding posts.
The CC-350 is one of the best center channels I have yet to hear. Making some more expensive centers run and hide. The sound is very natural with out a hint of silbance. When I play movies everything that is said I can hear. Plus the CC-350 is very detailed on music as well. When I was testing this center I played Dave Matthews Listener Supported DVD and I was able to hear the softly recorded guitar perfectly. Some of the details I could not hear with my previous center channel, the CC-170. The Eagles Hell Freezes Over DTS DVD sounded, like the Ealges were really there in front of me. The piano comes out especaily.
This is a great center for those who want a great center foraround $300 US. However, it can be had for less from some dealers. The sound quality is worth the extra money, so don't get the CC-170 if you have speakers from the Monitor line, cause it's a waste.
Overall a great value in the world of corparte profit.
